Just a heads up then, you got sick eating high-meat/high-fat/low-veg/low-fruit and being told to basically eat a similar way, minus processed foods which I agree, but to significantly decrease you body's first choice of fuel; carbs.
If that doesn't work for you being an athlete, there's other options. A high-carb/high-fruit/low-fat/sufficient-calorie/plant-based diet has healed my worst problems and is slowly healing my AF.
