Re: tropical disease clinics in Tijuana or Mexicali?

Well, from the people I met in line and have come across, many americans are going over there. Especially in the san diego area. It's a funny world though. The situation is completely swapped. Hispanics can get emergency coverage and we can't, now we go over to their country and get treated at a lower cost.

I hvae a fasciola infection. I know that. I submitted a stool test to them and never asked for the results come to think of it. I gather from the doctors efforts at trying to get egaten, even calling up novartis personally and trying to purchase the medicine from them directly, that the test came back positive. It's a shame that with a professional doctor contacting the company directly to get the medicine. One would think the company would sell it to them. But, according to the doctor that wasn't the case.

The accessible treatment to me was them pescribing me daxon and other medications. Plus access to different medical exams if I wanted it. Since he believed me, he just tried to get egaten as quickly as possible. Unfortunately he wasn't able to do it. He searched around different parts of mexico and he wasn't able to retrieve it.

These doctors are willing to help that is for sure. Is the treatment of your illness fairly straight forward or is it complex. From the case studies I have read when a fasciola species have invaded people's eyes and such, two rounds of egaten fixed thier problems.

One case report I found was from one hospital in santiago chile where they had only treated 4 fasciola patients I believe in that year. That's not enough for me to think that the hospital would be experts at treating that condition. It's really hard to say.

I would compare it to any u.s. treatment one would recieve and maybe even sway towards the hospital in mexico. You can certainly get the drugs that you need.
