Derm tommorow... so it seems the oral antibiotics not the desonide is what helped.


What looks like the beginning of angular cheilitis beside my lips (a little red) has not progressed much... it still looks about the same, and is nothing noticable but cause for concern

My lips have gone downhill the past week or so and are now looking pretty much like they did before treatment.. maybe a little better (Keflex/Desonide)... in retrospect, pretty much all the improvement was seen during the Keflex treatment and things started going downhill a few days after using it...

Problem is, you can't keep taking oral Antibiotics for a short term fix or they'll make things worse in the long run. I'm not sure what my next course of action would be... I'm thinking a topical steroid with antibacterial and antifungal properties.

I've heard a lot about the non steroid Protopic, but most of it not very good. I don't think I'll want to pursue that at this point.
