I don't remember exactly what I was thinking when I posted this passage, but is was probably on the lines of, I think this would be a good scripture for MST to hear as well as all of us.

The Lord isn't ever impressed with our boasting about how good we are from what I read in the scriptures. That's why he gave the gift of salvation through grace alone, lest anyone should boast.

I agree with you, it's clear in that passage that it's the position of the heart that makes a huge difference when we pray.
