He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. In this example, which would the Lord Jesus be and which would be His disciples who have died to flesh and were born again of His Holy Spirit, such as John, Peter and Paul? I say that neither of these 2 men represent any true born again believer who died to flesh and was born of the Holy Spirit of the Living God. I don't hold you in contempt vektek, but you are obviously deeply confused and deeply misled and i would love to pray deliverance for you to help you to get set free from captivity to sin among other things. Do you honestly believe it is our ultimate goal to be like that sinner and stay that way? He did good there by repenting, but should he go and commit the same sins tomorrow as you appear to be perfectly in favor of? If we let Him, the Lord Jesus sets us free from captivity to our sin and i really think you should let Him.

If you have been given the "Holy Spirit" other that what it was intended for, that only being in communication through prayer, then you will answer to God to how you became a 'chosen one'.
If God has given you the power to judge others and caste them out as demon stricken then where does our Lord come into our lives when you have been appointed by Him to do His works.
For He has also given you the power to heal others through His name shall we now come to you to be healed.
Are our prayers to God now null and void for we are sinners as you say meaning we now have to come to you for forgiveness.
You say that we all can have the power of God if we repent ourselves to Him, to be born again, and in return be given the gift of Gods powers as you have done.
Does one still have to go through Jesus to get to God or do we now have choices because you and others such as yourself have been allocated with the full power of the "Holy Spirit" so now God is now only used as an allocator and not our blessed Father anymore.
Tell me, has God said nothing about all this to you, whether the fight with Satan has now ended and He is the vanquished one. He did ask all of us to watch out for 'false prophets' but to no avail.
Do you now realise that you 'may' have sold your soul to Satan? That you may have listened to Satan whom you mistakenly thought was God, do you think that might be possible?
Could you possibly be now caste as the Devils Incarnate?

For this i am deeply thankful and i look forward to receiving the many rewards that will accompany preaching the truth of the Lord Jesus in spite of the many persecutions. I am so excited for the rewards judgement, how about you?

You err in wanting to to limit and quench the Holy Spirit, our comforter, counselor, teacher and friend. I am one of the Lord's millions of true disciples on the planet today and you can become one too if you die to your flesh and are born again of His Holy Spirit. We are to be led by the Holy Spirit of the Living God every second of every day. Do you hate your flesh and do you want to be dead to it? Do you not believe the Lord Jesus calls us to this?

God has given me no authority to cast people out and nor do i want it. He has given me authority over demons and from what i have experienced, quite a bit of it. I want people who wish for prayer to be blessed... by their demons being made to leave in Jesus name, and by helping them to get filled to overflowing with the living water of Jesus and every other holy blessing the Lord has for them... that's it. Millions of true disciples of the Lord Jesus alive today have been given this same authority over demons and walk in it, knowing who they are in Christ. Would you like to be given this authority by the Lord Jesus as well?

If you wish healing, i think this would be a wise move on your part unless you know somebody else to whom the Lord has given this gift. The bible says (paraphrased), "have all been given the gift of healing?". To this rhetorical question, the answer is no. I have been blessed with this gift and i won't apologize for it. but i will offer in love to pray healing for anybody who wishes it and i don't offer that without first stating the fact that i have been given this gift, since it would be counter-productive and fewer people would be blessed with the Lord's healings. All for the sake of false humility which would make satan very happy? I don't think so. I will stick with humbling myself before the Lord which includes doing His will, which includes praying healing and deliverance and holy blessings for whoever wants it, in the hopes of seeing them deeply blessed by the Lord.

Your prayers are not null and void, but please keep in mind that the prayers of a righteous man or woman availeth much. If you are not living righteously and you want a prayer answered, you have a vastly better chance if you allow a righteous living person to pray for you. Coming to me for forgiveness? Please contend with me only against the words i have actually written. We must all come only to the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of sin. He is the one who was sent by His Father, lived a perfect sinless life, was beaten, hung on a cross and risen from the dead to save us from our sins, all of us who will call upon His holy name and receive Him as Savior and Lord and live holy unto Him, abiding in Him as branches attached to the Vine. It was not me or Kat Kerr and not the millions of His other holy living disciples on the planet today who died for the sins of the world, it was none other than the Lord Jesus whom i love and serve with every beat of my heart.

The power of God will pour through His surrendered vessels, yes and in many ways. Did peter heal the lame man in his own power or was it the living God pouring through his surrendered life?

The Lord Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Nobody comes to the Father except through Him. This truth will never change. The Lord Jesus is the risen Lamb of God and there will never be another like Him. I am not worthy to untile his sandals, though He would allow me to anyway because of His immense love for me.

If the fight with satan and the demonic realm has ended, why did the Lord Jesus say after His death and resurrection that in His name believers would cast out demons? Do you believe all the demons are gone and are no longer oppressing people? I state the following not as doctrine, but as my belief, one which the bible has no uncontested answer for and one for which there is a mountain of evidence from many true disciples of the Lord Jesus. I believe that when a believer is truly born again, demons can no longer dwell in our Spirit which is where the Holy Spirit dwells, but they can dwell in our body as evidenced by pain and infirmity which leave when told to leave in Jesus name, our emotions, as evidenced by such things as depression, anger and addictions which leave when told to leave in Jesus name and our minds as evidenced by such things as confusion which leave when told to leave in Jesus name. I have personally prayed the Lord's deliverance and healing for many people who have been set free from all of these things and many more... and most of them were christians. The inch thick bible goes into very little detail about demons, demon possession, demon oppression and how it all works. We must therefore rely on the Holy Spirit who is our teacher to teach us. The Holy Spirit and our own real life experiences and those of the many other true disciples of the Lord Jesus who have a lot of actual experience with this, Derek Prince videos in youtube as one example.
He did ask all of us to watch out for 'false prophets' but to no avail.
Who are the false prophets, the ones who do and teach and live as the Lord Jesus commanded, by the power of His Spirit, or the ones who deny much of what He said? Why live a watered down institutionalized church false gospel when the Lord Jesus called us to live His gospel in fullness?

I encourage you very strongly to carefully consider who you accuse of selling their soul to Satan and of being false prophets / false disciples of the Lord Jesus. Please believe me when i say that my Father in heaven who loves me very intensely and is very pleased and delighted with me really wouldn't like it if you are publicly accusing me of this and i am certain that He would firmly discipline you in one way or another, His will not mine. As two biblical examples of this among many others, what happened to Abigail's husband Nabal when he cursed David? See 1 Samuel 25. What happened to Haman when his persecutions of holy living Mordecai and to all of the jews in exile in Persia became a stench in the nostrils of the Living God? (Book of Esther). By the way, how powerfully used of God was that 3 day dry fast?
I have a fair amount of experience with people who would make themselves my enemy (including a corrupt police officer who serves satan) and i have seen the way my heavenly Father handles it without my even asking. In an amazing miracle of God, the corrupt police officer ended up in court on charges filed against him by the deputy mayor himself. I didn't have to do anything but ask the Lord to do His will in this situation and deliver me from my enemy... and then to partake in writing a letter as strongly led by the Holy Spirit. The deputy mayor turned out to be the uncle of one of my poor inner city tenants whom i had previously prayed deliverance and holy blessings for in Jesus name, deliverance and holy blessings which she spectacularly received. She may or may not have told her Jesus loving uncle about the prayer, but she did tell him that i had stood my ground against police harassment from the same officer (who really seems to love spreading his corruption around), him putting unreasonable pressure on me to evict her for defending herself in her own home with a registered shotgun against a gunman's attack. I told her i would never evict her and that i would die first... and i meant it. She passed this on to this man whom i had no idea was her uncle. Earlier as strongly led, i along with my brother had written a 3 page letter to the city about the events and the carefully documented string of persecution and when the deputy mayor found out about the letter, the situation and the way i stood firmly in defense of his niece in holiness against unholiness, he asked his niece for a copy. This led to the officer being brought up on charges of harrassment and abuse of authority.
I don't have anger and i don't have unforgiveness, but please don't call down curses from the Heavenly Father upon yourself and i say this in love for your own benefit. Vektek if you are reading this, this is for your eyes too. chette? doc? this is for you as well because i wish only the best for all of you from my heavenly Father. as my very Lord Jesus spoke whom i serve every second of every day with all that i am and everything within me, Father please forgive them for they know not what they do. Please don't hold these sins against them. Please also forgive vektek for her offenses against your daughter Kat Kerr whom you also intensely love and are deeply delighted with through her immense love, dedication and surrender to you and through her Spirit led holy living unto you, something you call every disciple of the Lord Jesus into and something you bless without measure.

You as usual twist words to suit your purpose.
Your purpose is to threaten others in the name of our Father that is why myself and others that you threaten walked away in disgust.
I touched a nerve of yours did I not when speaking about Satan because you are unsure about whom you are talking to in your illusions whilst you are on your fast's.
You see Ed the way of the Lord is Love. Gods Law is love yet you use the ways of Satan to try punish those who "see" you for what you really are.
Your sentiments are shallow as a pool of mud and they do not wash with those that you accuse and threaten.
No Ed you cannot scare anyone because the truth will seek you out so I must ask you to stop this charade because you will meet the threats that you put upon others.
Ed, go on your knees to your maker and ask forgiveness for the abberations you have caste upon others who love our Saviour and try keep the faith my friend.
If you wish to perform a water fast, it only takes two days or else your in danger of losing your body fluids that keep you alive my friend, take care.

This is a reply to # 2,012,998One of the most powerful tools for understanding what has ahold of one's mind and heart is to pray. You pray for Jesus to walk with you in His spirit, you invite him in, and say, 'here's my attic, I really, really need your help cleaning it up!'. who knows what lurks in a creaky old storage area, among the fiddly little spiders and old dustballs? Often enough a ton of stuff from TV, the radio, other people's words and impressions, and our own imaginings. It's all clutter, and being born again- well, it's one of the most important things you can chase down and enjoy!
If there's anything I know pretty well, it's a confusion over what exactly the holy spirit is, and how it works. If you've had a good few teachers expounding on the bible in your past, you may be familiar with how the Holy spirit manifested itself with abraham, moses, Elijah, and many others. Unfortunately, it's most common for us western-minded, public-school-taught folk to be taught to think with brain logic, and not the heart. If it doesn't make mathematical, logical sense, it goes out with the bathwater. Hopefully you're familiar with the saying about the baby and the bathwater? Ok? Good.
When God made His pact with Abraham of slaughtering the sacrificial animals and walking by Himself through the parted bodies of the critters? That was how people in Abraham's day made a binding oath. 'If I break this pact, may this happen to me. If you break this pact, this will happen to you.'
God went through the path of slaughtered animals, instead of making Abraham walk with him. Abraham's descendants were directly covered by the pact, and broke the oath many times over, but God..? God sent the sacrifice.
So what was the manifestation of Spirit there? God is Spirit. He has no physical or dimensional boundaries, but He chose to manifest himself so that Abraham knew who was taking that walk of the pact.
For the hebrews in the wilderness, God showed himself in a pillar of fire and an unwandering cloud, which led them from place to place. That is also a manifestation, but without taking time to read and understand the history, wisdom and prophetic books of the OT, we often miss completely the understanding that the people /of that day/ had of God and HIS spirit. When a prophet writes 'And I was shown in the spirit', 'I was lifted up in the spirit'... etc, etc, those are manifestations of God speaking directly to a person who capitulated their will to God's will.
Now there's something very important to understand about how God chooses to work among us. I was born and raised american, taught in the public schools, and attended many different types of churches. My father was always searching for a church that taught what he was taught in college, where he met Jesus- he was introduced to God via Campus Crusade for Christ. I've experienced PCA churches, Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, and quite a few times attending catholic churches in the Washington DC area! These places I mention, we often think of them as buildings, as groups of people that teach, pray and follow rituals and teachings. They're big, they're each individual organisims of their own type, and you can pretty easily get lost in trying to figure out how to integrate yourself among them.
Physical churches, communities and flocks of people are educational. They're social, often political, and sometimes very powerful- especially if we rely upon them as our one source of understanding the bible!
Now forgive me for hopping to a completely different subject, but there is one passage of the OT I am very fond of. It is only about one chapter long, but it was written by a prophet who was chosen by God to warn, speak out against, and basically blaspheme the entire religious system of Israel. He was marked out specifically by God, he answered the call made to his heart and his mind, and served, even though it meant his very life was turned inside out. He had to speak against the priesthood (who were sacrificing and teaching without the wholeheartedness that Y-ah-owv-ah deserves), the hard-heartedness of the people, and pretty much everything. The teachers of Israel of that day had chosen to make replacement names, like addonai, to use in worship and everyday speech so that Yah's proper name would not be used commonly among the people.
They were trying to follow the commandment, 'Thou shalt not take the name of Y-ah-owv-ah' in vain. This can be interpreted as using it as a curse, but, more importantly.. Do not call yourself under God's name without meaning it! Don't go under that pact unless you are whole-hearted and earnest about it.
Do you think that calling yourself under thename of the 'Lord' has any power? Lord is a title. It is a generalized title for any landowner, rich man, king, president.. whatever you like, but when there is a name attached, suddenly it has meaning- like Lord Bhudda, Lord Krishna, Lord FancyPants, or heck, if you like, Lord Fuzzybutt, ruler of the cat tree.
The name has power. 'Y' (Yod) in hebrew means 'Arm and hand / Work / Deed', 'Ah'(Hey) means 'Lo!/ Behold!/ The', 'owv' (Vav) means 'Nail / Peg / Add / And', and again, 'Ah' (Hey) means 'Lo! / Behold! / The'.
It can be taken several ways, but it's best seen in paleo-hebrew. Yod appears as a bent arm with an open hand. Hey appears as a person with it's arms raised (a stick figure) in surprise, and Vav is simply a capital Y. Usually it's thought of as a connector, representing for example the peg you use to hammer down a nomad's tent corner, or keep a goat bound to one spot with a rope, or to hammer things together...
Literally you can think of that connection as God reaching down to manking to bring them together a simple act that happened with a nail. Now who do we know that experienced that... ?
I'll point you back to understanding how God works among us. He is spirit, not flesh. He is unbound, and we are bound- we are creations made of dirt, dust, water, salt and without God's spirit, we are machines without the important ingredient, Light. God's angels are beings of light, energy, and we are a creation set apart- 'E=MC^2', light made into matter, mixed again with light. We are living cells, not critters of brain matter alone, but of thought, emotion, curiosity and creativity. That is one of God's greatest gifts to us- creativity, and the ability to reproduce (unlike the angels).
We are temporary- temporal, physical, and 'dead', in that sense that our lamps are gone out, our wicks shortened, our abilities dampened by a simple disconnect from the source of light and life. Our creator is Y-ah-owv-ah, that Spirit by which all spirits and all flesh and all matter came into being, the one who chose to reveal himself to Moses as a flame in the midst of a bush. Sin cuts us off from that fire of life, and repentance makes us whole by shoveling the dung off of our minds and hearts- and in turn, our bodies, in turn.
The prophet I wrote about, the one chosen to speak against all the evils and stupidity of Israel of his day? He fled into the wilderness because his people were looking for him to kill him. He cried out to God that he wanted to die, that he was miserable. God sent his angels with food and water for him, there in the desert, hidden away in the crags, and the hours passed, hard and rocky and dry and cold at night.. and the person I am writing about.. He wrote that he saw several things happen while he was waiting to hear from his God.
A wildfire passed, but God was not in the fire. A mighty wind rushed past... But God was not in the wind. And later.. a soft breeze came past, and the whisper of God's comforting word was there.
That is the Holy Spirit. That is pure light, like Jesus is pure light, after he was ressurected. 'Thy word is a light unto my path and a lamp unto my feet.' The Word is our source for spiritual discernment, for personal identity, and for a guide in wandering with the maker of heaven and earth- it's history, guidance and clarity, right from the beginning to the end, and when it's unclear, you pray for clarity. When it's sharp and unforgiving, you pray for understanding of what is in the way of your heart and mind, and wait on God to show you what's in the way. When it's soft and warm, it's better than home-baked apple pie on a saturday morning when it's snowy outside.
One of the most important questions you can ask is 'Who am I', but one of the best ways to answer it is, 'Who is God'?
In genesis, there's a mistranslation in the english texts. Right about when Enoch was born, it's written, 'about that time Men began to call on the name of the Lord'. In the original language, it's 'Men began to call themselves /by/ the name of the Lord'. Enoch wouldn't have much to speak out against if folk were already crying out to God! He'd have an easy job! I don't think he did, and I don't think it'd make sense for God to wipe out all but 1% of humanity in the Flood if there were many seeking His face already. The report of the first chapters of Genesis says they were getting worse and worse, not better and better.
Now if I were to call myself by the name of the Lord, I might say, 'I am God'. 'I am a God'. 'I make all the choices myself, and no one tells me what to do'. ... This is the state of Sin and unrepentance. It's pretty simple. It's what they call the sin of pride, and it's right down in our DNA~ ... The flesh. It's inherited, inherant, and we all are born dieing, as it were, with a limit to our lives, but why leave us there to stew?
Who am I? I'm Y-ah-owv-ah's creation, redeemed by no value of my own by the blood of Y-ah-owv-ah's son, 'Y-ah-oshua' (Jesus in greek), on the cross, and given back the chance to plug back in to that source of light!
'You are the salt and light of the earth. What good is it if salt looses it's saltiness, and who chooses to cover up a light?', 'If your eye (pineal gland) is good, then your whole body is full of light', 'by his stripes (wounds) we are healed'. 'For I have not come to replace the Law, but to fulfill it'...
Personally, I'm not content with the once-a-week pre-chewed meal of preacher-teacher scripture, and I've been hungry after a better understanding of the word for a long time.
Trying to understand the Bible as being spiritual messages only is pretty cut and dry and hard to apply to daily life. It's like trying to pull a plough through winter soil, and in the place where I live, it's winter, the first snow has fallen, and you can't even walk on the sandy spots around my house without feeling that you're walking on ice. The holy spirit is a refining fire, and every part of it, from Genesis 1:1 to the very end of Revelations is good for teaching, instruction and nurturing, and blast the idiot that ever equated the fruit of the knowledge of Good and Evil with an apple, because I sure could use one right now!
God's Word is practical, understandable (Pray for the holy spirit to grant you understanding of anything in it, and you'll recieve it. that's the power you have in accepting Jesus' blood.), nourishing and powerful. His instructions to Moses about food is conclusive and wise (Heck, look up pork), and they are not onorous (heavy, a burden, a sorrow).
Human teachers and organizations build extra laws on top of what God has given us, by writing all sorts of books and interpretations and crap, but God doesn't. He uses the KISS principle- 'Keep It Simple Stupid'. He usues lanuage that the people he is talking to understand, he uses allegories and parables to make difficult concepts clear, and He invites us into a family, not a cathedral.
I hope that sticks in your mind.

Not a bunch of rituals.
Family.
Not a silver incense brazier swung on a chain over a bunch of altar-boys.
Family.
Not a guy behind a pulpit living off of the donations of the people he teaches.
Family.
Not a cracker off of a plate with a bit of fermented grape juice in a cup.

If you want to get to know who /you/ are, it's about the one who made you. Communion was first made by a guy who grabbed a loaf of bread out of a basket at the dinner table at a party, tore it up and shared it with his friends, told them what he meant by it, and then filled up his glass, and sent it around the table. They might have had an inkling of what he meant by, 'This is my body, broken for you. This is my blood, shed for you.', but like humans, they certainly didn't get it until after the fact- and that's what Communion is about. It's about remembering that we're judging our own lives and being, remembering just what a powerful crack Jesus made in the very powers of heaven and earth with giving up his blameless life willingly, and bowing to that. We're called to mirror our lives after what Jesus did, and that's where the rubber meets the road.

Jesus, the greek name adopted by the believers in the area of Capernaum and northern, is a translation with no hebrew origin. Y-ah-ho-shu-ah is sort of the way you would speak the name He had from Mary and Joseph- or our version of it, 'Joshua'. 'Jo' and 'Jea' and 'Joh' is a common hebrew name-syllable, and is directly related to 'Y-', aka, 'Yah'. It's pretty common in english, french, spanish, etc, and usually mean's 'God's ', 'God is...', etc. In the case of Yahoshua, it pretty literally means '(My) God is salvation / God saves'. 'Yah' is the foreshortened nickname for the most Holy name, 'Y-ah-owv-ah'. It's technically right when folk say 'God's name is unpronounceable', but about as stupid as saying 'God's name is ineffable'- it was meant to be spoken, loved, and completely respected.
Yahoshua's birthday actuallly coincided very well with the fall feasts of Israel- the festival of trumpets and first fruits, where the shepherds were watching the sheep on the hills. The lambing is generally in the spring season in Israel, and the guarding has to happen at night when wolves, jackals and prey animals are most likely to creep out of the foothills to have some dinner. The lambs are still most vulnerable until mid-winter, where they are good and strengthened on the summer and fall grasses. You can calculate John the baptist's and Jesus' birthdays very well though by the details given in the gospels.
The celebration of Yule/December 25th stems from the worship of Talmus, son of Ishtar, an empress in the old kingdom of Babylon/sumeria. You'll have to do some proper reading to track that down, but the story of the worship of Ishtar/Easter is fascinating. It's... very prevelent in our current traditions, but just named differently. It's also one of the reasons that a clear understanding of the scriptures, as close to the original language as possible, is so enriching.

I'm thinking about trying the nordic 'Gløgg' recipie this year- mulled red wine. It's so tasty! We have a ukrainian young lady in our family, it took a long time for her to let go of the bleakfaced forbidding from her family's background in interpreting the scripture too legalistically. The scriptures never forbid us fermented drink, but they do caution us against strong drink and addiction.
'Wine makes glad the hearts of both God and men', 'Normally, Sir, they give the worst wine after everybody has drunk the first, but you saved the best for last!'... etc.
Spiced wine:
1 L. good red wine, dark
1 cinnamon stick
5-6 nutmeg cloves
2-4 tablespoons brown Sugar or 3-4 tablespoons maple syrup
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup almond slivers
1/4 cup lemon or orange juice
Mix it in a saucepan, warm it just before the point of boiling, (stop when it just starts to steam), stir it gently for about 15-20 minutes, enjoy the scent, and sip and munch it from a mug with a teaspoon through your evening! You can do the same with apple cider, or a mix of beer, water and juice.

This is a reply to # 2,013,443Well, shai-tan (the deciever and betrayer) targeted Eve, not Adam. Eve as a woman had the emotional side of the relationship, and it was easier to bypass her logic circuits. Shai-tan targeted her love of God (wouldn't you like to know the difference between Good and Evil like your creator? If you eat it, you'll be like Him!) and did the deception slowly. A woman has both a weak and a strong side in relation to her husband, and the two are made to function together in loving harmony. It is just about as wonderful to have a marriage blessed and supported by a relationship with God as it is difficult and strange to have one without that support and spiritual renewal.
The love and closeness between a man and a woman is one of the central themes in the restoration story that is a person accepting Jesus, 'Yahoshua', as the gateway into spiritual life. We are described as expectant brides awaiting the arrival of the bridegroom, warned to be awake at the midnight hour, and to seek oil for our lamps so we can answer the door when He calls. A very central, but often ignored part of the bible is the Ruach Hakodesh, the spirit set apart, the Holy Spirit. It is the renewed connection with God the creator, the direct gift of life promised by Jesus. It's the step needed to change a life of philosiphizing the scripture into living it.
There is a trap between recieving the Good News that many people fall into, and unfortunately it's something we all must overcome- there's head-knowledge of the scripture and the attempt to accept and follow Jesus by our own strength, andthere is a heart-knowledge. The heart recognizes Jesus' voice and spirit and follows it, the head stores what we've learned from the scripture and from others, and tries to logic out what we are supposed to do. Both are necessary, but they have to work in tandem to /act/ upon the Word, and to drink what is in the scripture called 'Living water'. Jesus said 'my yoke is light'. If a person is trying to Live The Life on his own power, it's like an ox pulling a plow with no direction, and that's not God. He cuts burdens free, and that's the call to the cross. Jesus is Risen, not dead, and all those spiritual, physical and emotional burdens and strongholds can be severed- all one has to do is ask, and when the answers come, you'll know.
If you need discernment, ask, and you'll get it. If you need wisdom, ask, and you'll get it. If you need healing, ask, and walk with your creator. Illness is a chance to come alive, and as opposed to how the World teaches us to be afraid of it, the first place you are invited to go is prayer. God heals, doctors cover the symptoms. God shows the root of the problems, doctors handle what happens at the moment. God sees what's going on through the whole body and spirit, doctors try and look from the outside towards the inside, and miss a lot of subtle things.
But why would God put adam and eve on the earth without giving them a simple source of choice..? Free will is central to his design. He respects our choices, and the whole point of creation is... 'To restore all things to Him and to reveal to men and angels the ... manifold facets of his wisdom.' That's very paraphrased, but I believe it's in one of Paul's letters. It is a choice right central to our being, and the very act of 'being' is very much about figuring out the big riddle- who are we? Why are we here?
Hubby really likes 'The hitchiker's guide to the galaxy'. One of the jokes in there is that the philosophers of a certain planet built a big machine to calculate the answer to 'life, the universe and everything'. The answer they got after several millenia of waiting was 'fourty two'! Fourty two is basically 6x7. Six, as you might recall, is one of the numbers of the beast in the book of the bible, 'The revealing of Jesus', or revelations. It's a number of earthly completeness, of something built of flesh, but a completeness, a divinity, is usually identified with seven in the bible. There's seven churches addressed in John's writing in Revelations- seven trumpets, seven seals, seven thunders. It's a book meant to be understood in prophetic language, and directly related to imagery and symbolisim used in the old testament and other prophetic books. For example- the woman who sits on many waters? The sea and waters are allusions to people. Nations, the whole of humanity, etc, are often described as seas- think, for example, of Jesus saying to some of his friends on the sea of Galilee after revealing himself to them through a miracle catch of fish after a whole night of fishing.. 'follow me, and I'll make you fishers of men!'
Fourty two is sort of a humorous allusion to completeness. Man is considered the crowning glory of physical creation. we were given dominion over everything on the earth, and walked in full relationship and spiritual completeness with God in the original creation state, but the first act of rebellion, of sin, introduced the reality of death.
Choosing to reconnect to the creator is like plugging a lamp back into an electrical socket. Hopefully, what you get out of it, is a bright idea. <3

I wonder about the sinning coming in for the used state of marriage nowadays and the love and distance ( the closeness, your choice of word) determining the intimacy and the socialization of a spirit (the knowledge to spirit or the spirit to knowledge) the heart and the mind, the self and the intellect, the mother/child, self/ego, ego/spirit and ego/conscious. can one turn back and forte?
A wife include the a spirit from outside to inside to bear into a child the spirit of the future different then the spirit of past and this is the way to he who grows joyful in sinning to the object incarnated of the same spirit and the object Satan inspire more.

Something about wondering if a person can give and take with others... the spirit of sin and the spirit of the holy spirit..? What, like passing the turkey around the dinner table?
People mimic eachother all the time, but a relationship with Y-ah-owv-ah is built on his Son's gift of sacrifice on the cross. You can run around for years having accepted Jesus as Lord in your head without quite reaching fulfilment of full repentance. a lot of people do it, and the whole.. organized churchianity system halfway encourages it.
If it's the messages and ideas that keep us swimming between the two different areas of ideaology you mean, then maybe I did get what you meant to say. Yes, the spirit of sin and self-ego is contagious. In some respects, yes, the Holy spirit is contagious, but you can't teach a person by pulpit preaching quite so well as example... Well... Some people are just plain in the right place to recieve preaching, but a lot need teaching! I am hinting at a spirit but different changed spirit only when sensed from variant tenses (toleration,pain) and the things that men prefer in making this into a values just believed beneficial and food for the mind but not for the heart. So here it means we have one spirit but can be changed to force us to do things in which the original spirit is not there to sustain God energy and will to things of life. This energy/holy spirit and will in each of us has been changed with things we have artificially seen and forced to understand and believe with a spirit of others who come before us; that is not the same of holy benefit to all, so it has suppression in it that of not God's but of that separation from the third entity doing it with things made out of sins, doing it with that spirit/tense-energy leading to problems /reaction/solution.
in other way, more example, a third person interferes with the other as if he is the self of the other materially (temptation) but not spiritialy, for he is not the same self as you. He is not God but some one who pretends to be the same for the game. and your spirit changes into his for more games until you know of the wrong to which you have run and now you know. This spirit of God have run into something else forced to love and that spirit is not the same - this spirit we give to others. Mother to child, ego to self, ego to spirit, nature to spirit and ego to conscious - all this passed with power of the symbols, rites, traditions, rules, laws to the self without respecting the energy of life in it with which God works. you see the energy, your energy is not taking care of the real self how can then you take care of other without making the sin work for you when it comes to give service or think focus for other?
When it come for work to make money one think he is doing it for himself (for his money not for the work) not for others and show that he is good to other but when he is off he like to
be with the dear one - can he change his spirit to real one which please God or really his heart. God is not everywhere the same for him, his willing to love is not that Love. it changes colors at his will, is that so? How can I be free from harm as a self created by God? Can knowing our evil doing coming from those who control save us by them change into helping us? Can one know the innocence of his own creation and be respected to move freely and live unharmed?

None of this changes the fact that vektek was trying to make me out to be like the pharisee because i know that i do live holy unto my Lord through the born again strength of His Spirit and i don't apologize for it. She confuses the true holiness that the Lord Jesus has called His true disciples to live in, as led every second by His holy Spirit, immediately rejecting every thought that is not pleasing to Him... with the false hard hearted compassionless self righteousness of the pharisee. The Lord isn't ever impressed with our boasting about how good we are from what I read in the scriptures. That's why he gave the gift of salvation through grace alone, lest anyone should boast.
I agree with you, it's clear in that passage that it's the position of the heart that makes a huge difference when we pray.

Well, what do you believe- not in relation to MST, but in relation to the idea that Jesus is returning in not so long? (aka, <30 years). There's a large underground movement watching the news, international movements, and the activities of Israel and her enemies-
- and on the other side of the stories, experiencing the prophetic dreams, visions, and straight out 'miracles' spoken of in some of the scripture.
Personally, my 'miracles' have been things that are very, very easy to sweep off the table as coincidences, but they've been of the sort that have meant a lot of encouragement, life and joy to me in very dark times (for example, while waiting on the which-doctors (a pun or sorts) to amputate my left hand, etc.)
Yes, I get that sense, too, that MST can be percieved as very boastful. He's very new in his gift and overjoyed about it, and in that sense, I feel like rejoicing with him.
There's two ways of looking at humility. Here in where I live there's a concept called 'Jante's law', which wikipedia summarizes nicely: "... pattern of group behaviour towards individuals within Scandinavian communities, which negatively portrays and criticises individual success and achievement as unworthy and inappropriate." and "... Generally used colloquially as a sociological term to negatively describe an attitude towards individuality and success common in Scandinavia, the term refers to a mentality which de-emphasizes individual effort and places all emphasis on the collective, while discouraging those who stand out as achievers."
There's also godly humility. That, in and of itself, is the behavior that we must repeat again and again before the cross. It's that shucking off of useless dogpoo that comes in the form of what the world teaches us and what we carry and bear ourselves- often enough from reaching our own conlusions about how we must carry ourselves in order to be what we percieve as Holy.
I've really had to ask God again and again what He means by Holy. I mean.. daily, weekly, yearly as time goes by. That's not an easy concept! Churchiantity seems to infect it's followers with the idea that it is the 'you vs them' mindset, and Oi, how it grates on my nerves! I couldn't think of anything quite so difficult to share the gospel through as that mindset. I had.. Ouh.. I was in for an operation once for my left arm. I was just waking up from the sedatives, and there was this really stressed nurse poking me to wake me up in order to take my blood sugar level (I've had type 1 diabetes for 15 years). A bit later, she poked and prodded me to eat dinner, and all I wanted was sleep and recovery.. and then the third time she came in to do my blood sugars, I started crying right in front of her. My roomate in the hospital didn't like it either, and encouraged me to speak to the head nurse about it directly.
What I was focused on that evening was that she was wearing purple gloves every time she came in to get my blood sugar results. It felt.. It felt in my sedative-addled mind that she was refusing human contact, in that simple caution of wearing rubbers, but it was really her attitude I was troubled by. She was afraid of something, and it was coming out in doing her job and doing it without sensitivity. It turned out that she'd dealt with a staph infection from handling a pair of infected scissors earlier that year, and she'd had a cut. :o
As for MST, it's very hard to relate to his gusto, his excitement and happiness about having experienced a spiritual gift. I grew up in churchianity, and got a culture shock when I attended an apostolic housechurch where I live now. One of the first things I felt, which was completely different from attending a PCA church in the states, was a powerful urge to pray for my new town. It was like a emotional burden on my shoulders, (I had come to a sunday meet where there were only four people who came that day), and in my head I envisioned bowing before the altar in the Lord's temple. The burden descended then, and I had tears while praying for my new home- for the folk that did their everyday lives without knowing christ, for the children in our somewhat large local school that don't know a whit about Jesus, etc. The words flowed really quick from my mouth, but in a small way it felt right.. and five minutes later the prayer was done, the burden was gone, and that was it.
Pretty much all of us understand things through our own filter of experiences and the emotional connections formed in the brain, which gives us a way to relate to our world. That's one of the first places we need to look when we're disagreeing internally with a fellow believer. Our experiences and pre-judge-ments (pre-judice-es) color how we relate to others. That doesn't mean they're always wrong, but even Jesus had to speak out all the time against it! He was dealing again, and again, and again with the churchianity of his day, the Saducees and Pharisees.
First of all they weilded a form of pre-meditated power over the people. Have you read about takanot? It's the rituals they proscribe through rabinnical authority- literally adding again and again and building upon eachother's teaching to add over two-hundred ritual laws on top of what God gave Moses. One of the best examples is the ritual of the washing of hands- you take a special ladle, ladel water over first one hand and say 'Blessed are you blabla concerning giving us the ritual of the washing of hands..' and then ladeling the water over the other hand and repeating the mantra.. That's in modern orthodox judaisim. It's in catholiscisim, too. Certainly you've heard the rosary?
Second, they were completely ignoring the down-to-earth messages of our Father's message to them. They were missing the idea.. well.. heck, God had one of the OT prophets write down why the arc of the covenant was hidden. People were worshipping the act of sacrificing animals, and thought that the blood of the animals was rinsing their sin. We make rituals out of everything we can, and it makes us feel content and sit like fat cows in a single field for ages on end, pooping on our own foodsource. Churchianity sorta does that, if you think of it from the perspective that most are content to sit in the pews or dance on the aisles. James writes directly about that problem in his NT letter... and that one always did get under my skin! ... By faith alone.. or faith inspiring the desire to work for the kingdom...? Ghhtrchggkhkhkhk, I felt like I was missing the point of something.
MST deserves some respect out of the understanding that he is taking a stand for a perspective on the holy spirit that he's reached through personal hunger for the Word.
MST is also subject to the Father's discipline reguarding what he is teaching, espousing and practicing, and the NT is deadly clear on one thing- the sin of blaspheming the holy spirit is the one unforgiveable sin. Saying that God or Jesus says one thing, and knowing quite clearly that the Word says another thing, and doing it on purpose to gain power and position among believers is directly offal (awful!). We are not told by scripture to abandon our God-given skill of judging ourselves and eachother against the yardstick of the Word, but we are told to be careful. We are all at different stages and points of our personal relationship with the Father. Our minds, hearts and spirits each are individually and wonderfully formed... And we need to respect that position as well- that it belongs to God, especially after we've spoken our piece. (And often when we speak our own thoughts in matters like this it doesn't directly bring peace! But hey, without it, we can't move together as a family in harmony!)
There is a witness in my country called Moses Hansen. In the 80's he took what he learned about christ and the way he was convicted in his heart right to the streets. He took walks across the whole country (the country is about the size of Maine) carring a real, wooden cross over one shoulder, and often spoke at individual churches, and confronted a lot of things! He helped a lot of folk, both young and old, to start their own walk with Jesus by boldly sharing his witness. He was, however, struck down in his grande-gusto ministry and gift at least two-three times over twenty years by depression and cancer, and had the right attitude in it- he retreated from ministry and the public eye for a while, evaluated his behavior and mindset in prayer and supplication, and took out the time to renew his own faith and relationship with the Father.
God does that to people who He allows to take on a front-line army-soldier position. He disciplines them exactly as needed, and there's absolutely no law against speaking honestly and earnestly to them if there is something buggering you about how they are expressing and carrying themselves. There's a right way to go about it... and generally I find that is through prayer for them, and prayer together with them. It can help prevent major crashes (both spiritually and mentally).. and when a spiritual gift is involved, it is a heavy business.
In fact, MST, I feel that I should offer a little wisdom- be careful about the river of life- it's a flood and a gushing torrent in places! The holy spirit is a good guide, but like I've had to learn again and again, what we feel and hear in prayer has to be measured against the Word again, and again, and again, and prayer for the gift of the discerning of spirits must be done constantly. As you know, Earth is a battlefield, and I've always experienced the biggest attacks on my spiritual and mental state when I pray for God's kingdom and dominion to take sway over my local town. Something that big is best done in a fellowship of believers.
