Re: please help!! i have drug resistant chronic giardiasis
I would follow Briboys advice and get tested again with different labs using different methods. Find a Dr that can do a sigmoidoscopy
parasite test. The best lab I have used is called Labion and is located in Brazil and they don't do sigmoidoscopy. There are good labs out there that can detect without sigmoidoscopy but in my experience, regular labs give false negatives often. It's possible you have other bugs then Giardia.
I think furazolidone was one of the drugs that had the most effect on my Giardia problem. It's possible that Quinacrine can be used if the other meds don't work. Furazolidone is nasty and Quinacrine can be worse if taken for more then 5 days. Do research, talk with drs and be careful.
As for natural or alternative medicine.
I did have some positive results from pippali rasayana which contains Piper longum and Butea monosperma (palash). I read that Piper longum can work against amoeba in some cases (30%?) and It might have given me relief for amoeba and not Giardia because I don't think i had giardia when I was taking it (but I can't be totally sure)

I wrote about furazolidone in that post but I don't think I had giardia at that time. My success with furazolidone was in 2010 before that post.
I have read that
Grapefruit-Seed-Extract (Grapefruit Seed Extract) can work against Giardia and I have some good experience with it.
Unfortunately none of the alternative treatments have really worked for me. Don't be disappointed if none of the alternative or natural treatments mentioned in Curezone don't work. As you already know, protozoa can be VERY hard to kill. I have been dealing with this for 7 years and I must tell you from experience that a lot of people in curezone don't know what they are doing. Be careful with suggestions from curezone because you don't want to get hurt or make the bugs even more resistant.
All the best
