Re: Based on my circumstances, how long should it take until I'm cured?

Actually, pokermaniac reported a set back fairly recently which when I read was disheartening as I was hoping he was well on his way to overcoming this syndrome. This isn't the first time someone has touted something which recently made them feel better only to have a major set back

Anthony, I'm glad you are feeling better and anyone whose followed your advice and received gains from it, more power to you all. There is no question liver/bile plays a role in candid related complex - the mycotoxins in the blood once candida has escaped the GI tax the liver: that's what die-off (nerx reaction) is...a toxin overload which the liver is struggling to deal with.

However, I do caution you in steering everyone down one path since you could be wrong and cause further suffering in your desire to help lessen suffering. Medical research papers would be far more substantial than a couple of fruitarian videos.

See if this makes some sense, what you say about meat causing suffering is potentially very possible. Yet, maybe not from the fat as you insist but, from the ammonia created during the meat digestion process. Candida creates ammonia gas to make it's environment more alkaline and therefore more hospitable to it's growth within the GI tract. The double whammy of increased ammonia strains the liver in trying to deal with the excess ammonia toxin with or without 'fatty liver'. Vital nutrients come from meat so every candida diet includes them (you eat sea food for this reason) but, most limit meat consumption to a couple times a week to try strive for balanced pH versus nutrient needs. This was a key to poermaniac's thinking beyond the okinawa diet: body pH through trace minerals (particularly sodium/potassium).

The deal with leaky gut is about the immune system and the HPA axis; the endocrine system gets worn down dealing with numerous issues causing an immune response which taxes the adrenal/thyroids. A couple of the many negative feedback loops from this are with immune function and metabolism. Slow metabolism encourages food fermentation, as you note but, not due to liver issues alone as one can not under look how adrenal fatigue and/or hypothyroid is a part of this same enigma.

Also, the numerous vit/min deficiencies either caused by candida, body system stress or from too restricted a diet further taxes the HPA axis....yes, diet/nutrition is a key.

I've read many posts all touting how heavy metals was the key to their issues: however one forum member posted his NB test and it showed very little if any heavy metals. What if someone got sicker trying to follow a strict heavy metal detox which pushed their system into a crisis mode from a flush/detox crashing already precarious endocrine function only to learn they never had a heavy metal issue to begin with?

This is why I state, I"M NO EXPERT- ONLY ANOTHER SUFFER and get concerned about anyone not concerned they could be wrong. All I can do is try to weed through everyone's input and try to understand my own situation while sharing what my seeking has uncovered to try to help shorten anothers learning curve: only they can determine what's right for them.

Anyway, food for thought........
