Re: My Story and journey...- Dr Lam
Hey Rose
I feel for you, i know it feels terrible finding other people in the same trauma as you, but in some way it helps knowing that we arent going insane!
I do believe like you that my adrenals have been drained ever since I was young, as I've had a very turbulent and emotionally draining existance to be honest, it was one thing Dr Lam picked up on, that they have been getting depleted for a long time. I am going to start guided meditation soon as CBT didnt really do much. I am in a stronger emotional state now but still I think the damage has been done and its a long road back.
He didnt give any real reason why Dorine put me on DHEA, but im now due to start again after taking a week or so off the programme. Its been pretty hell over the past couple of weeks, complete insomnia, but feeling generally ok(ish) through the day (massively fatigued though) but only managing two hours of sleep a night. Atvian dosent work for me anymore unfortunately and ive been experiencing night time anxiety like nothing before. Also chronic lower back pain which ive never had before, so its been really tricky for me deciding if the programme was helping or making things worse..before I started it I would at least sleep till 4am, but now its a couple of hours with raging high cortisol through the night. I dont know. Im due to speak to Dr Lam this week, so im going to go back on the pgramme for another six months and hopefully this is just a 'reset' period where my body just needed a break from all the synthetics.
I dont have a problem with Dr Lams fees either, plus he passed me over to Dorine as he knew how little money I had, so that really helped. Its the supplements that the biggest expense for me, as Supplement Clinic wont put GIFT on the box, when it comes into the UK the price pretty much doubles from what I originally paid, so its killing me financially and has put my in a predicament as really I need to take six months out from work to really progress, but if I do that, I wont have any money to pay for all the care! Nightmare :)
I think any sleep aids are addictive, but I have been looking into Seditol as it lowers cortisol after 7-10 days use, so it might help, Im going to speak to Dr Lam about it when he calls. I have been given valium from my GP now, but I really dont want to use it, as I know it will help, but it will just be another addiction to get rid of. Relax All is addictive as it contains Phenibut but sometimes, after 3-days of no sleep, I just have to get a few hours.
Feel free to PM me if you want to chat more my dear!
