Warning: Flavoring matters Re: update on first water fast

WARNING FLAVORING TALK!

Hey! Very positive of you sharing weakness moment.
We are not perfect as humans, since we often try to cheat and try "forbidden" stuff.
It is rather psychological, than physical addiction most of the times. For example in Europe I was "addicted" to a specific brand of chocolate crispy bar, the day I flew to NA, it was gone - my subconscious knew it was out of reach, so it did not waist time in negotiating with "me" :"can we have this once more? for the last time?".
I personally find, that I function better in the world of fasting and vegan-ism with the attitude "I can eat the bad stuff, but I do not want to". Picturing what is achieved does help - not always, but often helps. Picturing what I will undo, and how many steps backwards I will end up also works.
So many times I fell for a no-no craving item, that I found yet another tactic - get it, one time at least, then analyze why I like it - the salty taste? the nutmeg flavor? the greasy felling? - then working with the good alternatives, like Himalayan /Andes salt, nutmeg powder, coconut oil, raw cocoa fruit added in healthy food, very often takes care of the craving.

Fellow fasting adept,
DL
