I will say this. There are candida colonies in the small intestine. Because leaky gut is a symptom of the small intestine...and many of us do suffer from leaky gut as well. With severe leaky gut we find it impossible to assimilate and absorb nutrients. So you cannot say that the candida is solely in the colon. It is in the colon where the toxic load is felt heavily....and given the fact that there is a vein there that connects to the liver...it can give you liver type symptoms too...and causes the liver to filtrate a lot of toxins. So the enemas are good at taking the load off the immune system...and it makes it easier to clear the colonies in the upper small intestine. Oral route is therefore also very important...as are supplements that heal the small intestinal lining...such as glutamine, ALOE VERA (very important), DGL, slippery elm....and so on. It is when I started to take these supplements three times daily...along with some heavy dose probiotics at night...that I started to feel a massive purge of candida colonies....and saw them in my stool when I did coffee enemas. I never did antifungal enemas...but can imagine what would come out if I did. I might try some just to purge of what little is left.
