Re:

I have/had Hashis and was on 125 mcg T4 and 25 mcg T3 in october 2011 (for 15 years) . It took me months on Iodine before my thyroid could do the work on its own again. I still have horrible detox symptoms (after more than 8 months on iodine!). If ever the plane crashed that I was on, I wouldn't recommend eating me even now!

But there are also these lovely benefits:
- no more allergies
- no more meds: hooray!
- head is much much clearer
- don't get ill as much/ as bad as I used to, by far
- more stamina
- candida gone
- less or no pain in old injuries that just wouldn't heal without iodine
- period returning to normal (not there yet)
- don't burn in the sun any more
- I can tolerate heat now, and cold
- I feel happier: better moods
- much better sleep (deeper)
- ... well, and much more

From what you write I'd say you are pushing your body pretty hard. And it's already working really hard. My philosophy during my struggle has been: always leave some energy for the body to repair itself. This means I only use up about 75% of the energy I have available (work, walking, cycling, grocery shopping, housework, ...) and the remaining 25% is for my body (resting!). In the beginning I did a lot of laying on the couch after work, just reading for the rest of the day. Now, 8 months or so later, I take an hour every day on the couch. So it does get better!

I remember it was very hard to feel when I was tired, because I always felt tired. I didn't know my boundaries. Since the Iodine and companions, I'm not tired when I get up and I can actually feel it when I get too tired. I'm guessing you feel exhausted all the time but keep pushing yourself because you want to stay in shape. In my case, once I was on iodine, I didn't need to exercise every day to keep in shape. If I don't walk or cycle for a week (because I get a bad cold for example), once I'm better, I haven't lost my muscle strength. Without the iodine, I'd loose muscle strength so fast when I wasn't exercising every day!

Apart from the Iodine and companions of course, what really helped me are dessicated adrenals (suggestion from Trapper). These prevent me from collapsing at 15:00.

So, keep it up! This forum will provide you with a lot of information and support. The people here have helped me so much. Go for the long haul. When your body is that ill, it will need some time to heal itself. It will take a long time to get rid of all the toxins that are blocking your receptors. Sometimes you will feel better, and then you'll feel crappy again for weeks. From what Ginagirl and Wombat and Trapper are writing I keep up the hope that some day (I'm estimating after about 5 years or so in my case) I will feel pretty normal again. But some veterans wirte that even now they sometimes has a new detox wave hitting them!

I agree with Trapper: 25 mg is very little. Every part of your body craves iodine and or iodide. The toxins make it so that a lot of the iodine you're taking is used for detox and is not available for you body to use! It's hard to tell how much you will need: you will have to find out for yourself. But I would start with 100 mg and go from there.

Also, take the companions, especially selenium. If you don't take selenium, you might damage your thyroid.

Apart from that: I advise you to read, read, read! Learn everything there is to know. Here's a good start (from Cougar): //www.curezone.org/forums/am.asp?i=1926854

Good luck!
