Re: Low carbing pickled my liver and let candida go nuts.

Candida goes nuts after the use of antibiotics or anti-bacterial substances. Think of how all the Americans  that drink beer+alcohol, eat Mcdonalds+Taco bell, soda pop,----and  trash their livers but yet don't have candida issues. My brother did one round of antibiotics from the dentist and it caused a yeast infection. It is important to keep your liver healthy, but for some candida sufferers it takes much more than liver flushing to restore the gut flora ecosystem. The person that will  be a millionare is the person that can somehow  figure out how to sterilize the gut and be able to repopulate the gut with a fresh colony of balanced beneficial flora. This would be a miracle for people that have complete dysbiosis or people that have been battling bad bacteria/candida overgrowth for years upon years.

I know some people that have had SIBO(small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) that have darn near tried every diet and it seems impossible for them to get their flora back in proper balance again to get to a point where they don't have any food intolerances. The same can go for people that have had most of their good flora wiped out by candida.

The people that have "cured" their candida with a fruit diet or vegetarian diet,no fat/low protein ...etc etc... in a month or two most likely had a "mild"  case of candida.  Their advice might only apply to mild candida suffferers. Where as people that have severe candida might have to determine what approach works best for their particuliar case.  There is no one cookie cutter approach for everyone, because everyones gut ecosystem can vary.
