Re: New sufferer
Hey,
I saw my dermatologist (I think I'll keep visiting her as my main dermatologist, as she is the most carying one..) and my second general practitioner (wow, that sounds crazy) today. They both got the dentists report about Candida albicans, which had been found in the part of the crust that was cut off.
I now have prescriptions for both another Nystatin suspension (3x a day after each meal), which I have already been taking for about a week, and also Fluconazol, which seems to be a systemic antifungal pill, which I'm now supposed to take once a day.
Not sure if that will change anything, even if I do have a Candida overgrowth and I can beat it using those meds.. Also, she said I shouldn't have to change anything to my diet (which I already have, as I have cut sugar, white flour etc. completely, except for fruit and sometimes a little honey).
She also noticed that I NEVER lick my lips, ever (I haven't done so in over three weeks now). She said that she thinks that I should use some kind of moisturizer for my lips, as lips are designed to produce sebum to some degree, but not enough moisture, which is "why humans lick their lips". I said that right now I am just soooo sceptical about putting ANYTHING on my lips..
