Re: New sufferer
I had an appointment with her today, not much news though..
She said that the Candida test was a least somewhat positive, but really not that much. I told her that I was using a Nystatin suspension for over a week, twice daily, which might have killed most of it... she said that she'll look at the test again and maybe we should do it again a week after I stop using the Nystatin.
She said that she would like to prescribe me Protopic, but I'm really sceptical... She also said that maybe leaving them completely alone isn't the best way to treak it, as the lips are not really designed to moisture themselves enough, which is my "we" often lick our lips etc.. I wasn't sure about that...
She will contact me again on wednesday after looking at the Candida thing more closely and after talking to some other doctor.
One question that came up yesterday..: I was eating (bread with avocado cream, which is of course quite oily), and because of the oil which accidentally touched my lips while chewing, a big crust became totally loose. It probably wouldn't have fallen of on its own as on the side one part was still attached to the lips.. so also the big part (maybe 1x1cm) would have probably stayed on. I did turn it over and used scissors to cut it of. Did you ever do it like that as well or would you have waited for it to fall of completely on its own? Really hard to describe.. :)
