Candida is very smart in the way it adapts to diet(especially for those of us that lack the flora to keep candida in check). It doesn't take very long for candida to adapt to all the no no's. I can get way with some of the no no's for about a day or two then the candida adapts very quickly and then it becomes fast burning fuel for the candida. Seems like the longer someone does the same foods for a long period of time the candida becomes more efficient/adapts at utilizing those foods? I noticed this when I went on my 0 carb diet for 4 months. Seems like the candida became more and more efficient month by month when I was eating the very limited/same foods month by month. Because of candida's ability to adapt I've had to experiment with rotating foods/ eating more variety. Again, it depends on our levels of good flora to candida on how fast candida can adapt.
