The root cause of persistent candida is often heavy metals, and the candida binds mercury, so when the mercury is released through chelation the candida will react with extreme predudice! An antifungal will not help the uncomfortable detox factor, but will combat the candida to reduce overall toxin load.

I've found the key to an easier detox (or die off) it is imperative that you drink enough water along with unrefined unprocessed Sea Salt that has more than 80 minerals intact. The body cannot use processed salt and it accumulates in the tissues as toxin. Divide your body weight by half and that's how many ounces at LEAST that you need to stay properly hydrated (divide this # again by 8 to get in cups). For each quart of water (4 cups) you drink you should be ingesting 1/4 teaspoon salt. This will create proper salinity and equilibrium in the blood to dispose of toxins in the cells, without the salt balance water cannot pass between the cell walls to excrete toxins. I use nystatin powder for my child as it is not absorbed into the blood stream. You have to take it at the appropriate dose along with a candida diet for it to work. You can't drink beer and eat cake and take nystatin and expect it to have any effect on candida. :-) It works by killing the fungal cells that it comes into contact with topically, so it takes months of use but it does kill candida if you maintain your diet with NO cheating. The fungus you destroy in a week will grow back with one day of cheating. I kid you not.

In the US you can order the correct nystatin from fludan.com (canadian) legally without scriipt for up to a 90 day supply. This is legal and goes through customs properly. Their current supplier makes a product that is not only pure but far less bitter tasting than others. It costs about $130 including cold shipping for about a 3 month supply (I buy the 500 MU, that's the volume amount, and it is 6202 I.U/mg, international units per milligram which tells you the potency. This is important when knowing what you're buying so you don't get fillers). You should dose 1/8 tsp 4 times a day in water (start less if you have a severe die-off reaction).

Also it takes 3 - 4 weeks to receive this after you order so they obviously do not stock it. Expect them to say it's "backordered" because they are just a broker site, but they are the only source I've found for the powdered oral nystatin of the correct potency.
