Re: Coconut aminos/vinegar, die-off?, phenols, and my pathogens

 Hi, I am having the same problems on the Renew Life Ultimate Flora - 50 billion - major gas and horrific gas pain, nausea and increased reflux. Everything I've read tells me it's from candida die-off that is being caused by the probiotics. Also, they do not contain FOS. They stopped using it some time back. And they are dairy and gluten free. I am so miserable right now and I want to stay on it, but the pain is miserable. I have not had die-off like this ever.

According to their website they still do FOS in some products.  Even the ones that do not state FOS still have to have some base they are not listing.  If the capsules only contained the bacteria then they would look empty as the bacteria cannot be seen by the naked eye.  And without a base there would be no way to run the bacteria through the machinery to fill the capsules.  This is why the bacteria are added to the FOS, lactose or other bases for capsuling, tableting or bulk packaging.   Your reaction is most likely to whatever base they are using.
