Yes my water before going is is very hard with a ph of 8.2.

that is why our run off is alkaline high.

lots of calcium magnesium and iron and other salts

Not sure what the OPR was or is, my meter registers 586 on conductive minerals ppm.

It is a good machine for what it does and makes more gallons of distilled water than any other machine on the market.
