Re: hello everyone.
Hello Phillyfly,
nice to hear from you too, and thank you fo the welcome.
What have I been doing these last 8 months?
Recovering from burning the candle at both ends: working 11 hour days and then spending countless hours over a two year period on the computer to help others on this and other forums. The spirit was very willing but the flesh succumbed in the end.
I have a frail constitution as a result of TB at birth; I slept solid for the first 2 years of my life and had to be awoken for feeding during all that time. An underdeveloped physique and mentality coupled with malnutrition well into my teens and then Leukemia. NH saved my life but in latter years I have not practiced what I preach in terms of work/lack of sleep and energy expenditure.
I suffered from severe stress/Nervous collapse/exhaustion or what used to be known as Neurasthenia; today it would be called ME or
Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). This also affects the mental state and therefore depression. I fasted for 15 days in October last year but my digestive process was so enfeebled both before and after it has taken me this long to recover. Neuropathy was also marked because of the above.
The body does not respond so well in self-healing as you become older and especially given the above.
I knew I was malnourished (so fasting for long was not an option) but given time and with the aid of Chlorella/Spirulina/whey protein, all in powder form mixed as a drink my body/mind slowly recovered.
Yes, you would think I would know better and practice what I preach, but I became engrossed in the "cause" as did Shelton, but his overwork schedule and his deficiency of EPA/DHA essential fatty acids from his lacto-vegetarian diet spanning many decades, resulted in Parkinsons disease.
Lesson learnt.
