Re: Kefir caused yeast infection?

Gibby, that's a great thought. Thank you for suggesting it. I actually was tested for allergies six or seven years ago and the only thing it showed I was allergic to was yeast. I didn't know this until I requested a copy of the results, months later.

The allergy doctor never mentioned it. Good doctors of any specialty are few and far between in my area. Guess I'll do some research on allergists and see if I can find a good one, even if I have to drive for several hours.

By the way, I pretty much live with yeast infections. I can beat it down with Pau D'arco (capsules, 4 taken three times a day). But you can only take that for four weeks then a two week break. I also have taken every strong, expensive probiotic that can be found. I try to watch my diet, but find the yeast diet too restrictive. I also use monistat at the first sign of a flair. It's a horrible way to live. My gyno actually shrugged his shoulders and said, "Once you destroy your good bacteria you're on a slippery slope". Haven't been back to him since.

Thanks again!
