Re: Kefir caused yeast infection?

I have had reoccurring vaginal yeast infections for five years now. Most recently I began taking Pau D'arco and it cleared up immediately.

However, I decided to try Kefir to improve my intestinal balance and hopefully rid myself of this issue for good.

I got my Kefir grains last Thursday and made my first batch of Kefir milk. I consumed about four
ounces on Saturday and eight ounces on Sunday. Monday morning I woke up with a raging infection.

I know Kefir milk has yeast and I'm beginning to wonder if the Kefir milk caused the infection. I think I must be highly allergic/sensitive to yeast.

Anyone else had this problem? I'll appreciate any comments or feedback. Now I'm scared to drink the Kefir milk again.

The yeast on kefir does not promote Candida growth.

Most likely the kefir was not fermented long enough to remove all or most of the sugar from the kefir before drinking it.
