Re: Thyroid isn't the reason why most of us have this odor
Fruity.fruit thanks for all the questions but maybe you should ask yourself just one question which is, could there be something in you that is causing the thyroid to flunctuate between hyper and hypo? I mean, your body cant be lying. If you're showing symptoms of Hypo then you could be hypo at certain points. TMAU is another sign of liver dysfunction and the thyroid gland causes the liver to misbehave. As a matter of fact a lot more doctors don't take TMAU seriously. For example, the seasoned Ivy-league trained medical doctor that talks on a radio station in NY has never talked about TMAU (to my knowledge), yet he constantly mentions candida, thyroid disease, mercury poisioning... And he says someone doesn't have to exhibit all the symptoms of thyroid disease to actually have the disease and that one or two symptoms can be enough. One of the tests for thyroid disease includes liver function test.
I know that a lot of us are frustrated and wish there was someone that we could jack-up for an answer. But let's not kill the messenger here.
Granted, we are all gradually coming to the conclusion that bad bacteria appear to have a role to play in this, but is there a way we can employ the body's own mechanism to help keep the bad bacteria in check? I mean, our bodies managed to do that up until the point we started noticing this condition. So if our bodies is no longer doing that, there must be a dysfunction somewhere which we need to get to the root of.
