Re: Help! Keep going/back off? Your thoughts are needed!

brain fog during the day + insomnia at night sounds like a blood Sugar problem to me~ what has your diet been like throughout your life?

Do a search on the glycemic index of foods. You want to eat foods that will not cause too rapid an increase(and subsequent decrease) in blood sugar. Low blood Sugar can certainly make you feel foggy and can also wreak havoc with your sleep patterns.

I don't think that it's the antidepressants at this point- it's been 7 YEARS. I don't think that it's "toxins" that you need to purge. To borrow an analogy from Uniquity, think of your body as a car. If the car is not running properly, perhaps the fuel is bad, that's the first thing to look at. OK, I did not state that so eloquently as Uny would, but....

Easiest and simplest things first. If you tweak the fuel and the car is STILL running badly, then you can start dismantling the engine and cleaning the parts:)

BTW, my husband bought a motorcycle once that was a non-runner. Guess what? It was out of gas...

You should do some experimentation with your diet. Firstly I would add some protein in the morning- a hard-boiled egg or some almond butter or something along those lines. Have a snack every two hours or so, munch on some crunchy vegetables, a handful of nuts

We all wake up with low blood sugar, it's really important to have some protein within the first hour or so. And have protein + vegetables for your three meals.

Any of that sound as though it might apply to you?
