Re: I stopped chelating for a few days and this is what happened
I don't know too many people that have used oral DMPS but there are some on the frequent dose chelation board (Cutler's board) that use it instead of DMSA. They use it around the clock though, which I don't have a problem with. I'd probably do it that way if I was taking oral anyway.
Slow drip DMPS. I dont want to open my mouth on this subject because frankly, I'm the kind of person that wants to be sure of something before preaching to others. I have done enough research to know that it is safely used in the THOUSANDS by Dr. Rashid Buttar and my own personal doctor who works with him. By thousands, I mean thousands that are accounted for in medical records, not internet postings. If people think Andy Cutler's frequent dose has a lot of people using his method, they have no idea how many treatments Dr. Buttar has done. Last time I heard him lecture, he's had a 18 month waiting list for patients to see him, and he's been using his chelation methods for the past 15 years or so (don't remember exactly how long)? I'm not claiming the man is God but as far chelation therapy goes, he IS the leading doctor on the subject, not Andy Cutler. I'm not saying Andy Cutler doesn't make good points or that he's uneducated because I do acknowledge his degree and experience in the chemistry field, but if it comes to clinical chelation and perfecting administering chelation therapy to really sick people and autistic children, Dr. Buttar is a different ball game. Compared to Dr. Buttar, Cutler is an internet sensation for the poor who want chelation therapy in their own home or are unable to travel.
As far as credibility goes, Dr. Buttar's work is what I trust, his research and experience. He's testified in front of Congress regarding this very matter, under scrutiny and very close watch by the NC medical board for his practices with chelation and has to be extremely careful, recovered his son from autism using his IV drip DMPS and his experience with the matter is that he has tried everything including DMSA, ALA, etc. and DMPS IV has worked best for him. My own doctor's son has been recovered from autism using IV DMPS (as done by the American Board of Clinical metal toxicology) and his clinical study of 70+ autistic patients recovered something like 60+. (which was rejected by a journal he tried to submit the study in. they had no interest).
What I am saying is this: If I were to go SOLELY based on my own research of the matter, I would say I trust Dr. Buttar and his use of IV DMPS. His dosing and methods. But, I leave some wiggle room because I have yet to experience it myself and I can only take this conversation and opinion so far. I'll be somewhat reserved regarding this matter until I try it. All I know is a) it works for many b) the side effects of DMPS when used properly as used by the American Board of Clinical Metal Toxicology, isn't as what it appears to be. DMPS the drug has been clumped together on the internet as a very bad and dangerous drug, especially with the spread of dmpsbackfire. com which never distinguished between push IV, Intramuscular injection, or anything else such as if the person still had
Amalgams in their mouth, and so forth. That's really the problem with unorganized gathering of internet stories.
I have 2 more sessions for
Amalgam removals. One, this coming tuesday and another a week later. And I will be
Amalgam free!
After all is removed, I'm going to wait a week or two to see if anything is up and how my body tolerates it. So far the first one had no real side effects other than the nausea from the anesthetic. Then the plan is to meet with my doctor and get a challenge test in the form of a slow drip IV DMPS+EDTA with a low dose that he uses to see what my levels of metals are. And based on that result, he'll advice whether mercury is the sole issue or other metals such as lead and cadium, uranium etc. But for the most part, I think it will be a DMPS IV slow drip treatment. No more than once every 2 weeks.
I can't say that I'm not terrified though. I've had way to many reactions and sensitivities and I'm terrified of the IV but the way i see it, I'm at a DO OR DIE stage in my life and I'm going to making the decision to do it.
To address BM,
I wasn't exactly singling you out but it's an observation that is not exactly regarded by myself only. Andy Cutler followers (not all but many) believe exactly what andy says and take his research for face value. I'm sorry but I never do that and I don't do that with Dr. Buttar or my own doctor. If there's something awry from a biological, chemical, scientific standpoint, I make sure to discuss it with my doctor. I know exactly why Dr. Buttar uses DMPS from a biochemical level and know exactly what mercury does to the cells and have enough research to back up with citations. People who are "religious" followers only go far enough to say "You haven't done your research" but never had the direct link to a pubmed or toxline study, an article, anything. When people do not get intimate with research and take at face value whatever their "researcher" god is providing them, I have a problem with that. I have been on the frequent dose chelation board for a few years now and there are many good people yes. But few are willing to admit that there are holes in Cutler's approach and reasoning, or where some of his ideals are rooted from. That is why I said religious fanaticism.
I'm a libertarian and I believe people should have the right to pursue whatever they want. And if that includes religious fanaticism, then so be it. if there is a treatment that works best for you, if it means eating dirt everyday, then I'm not going to say that it doesn't work. If the Cutler's method of frequent dosing at low doses with DMSA and ALA works and you see full recovery, I will be happy that you recovered. All I want is for people to not be misinformed and to fully know their options and members of the Cutler group sometimes remark that its "his way or the highway" which I know not to be true.
