Re: Spontaneous Fast of 17 days broken this morning. Feeling Fantastic!
Mighty well done I say.
Spontaneous fasts are always a delight for me, usually briefer than yours and no water. I love the ease of that process. And the related ease of picking up where one left off so to speak.
Most times no effects on my normal activities.
I do wish this was true for me and hopefully one day soon it will be. While i felt relatively strong and energetic when i broke (for a fast, but not compared to when i'm eating), my energy levels easily tripled the very day i broke it and i was able to comfortably become productive again on that first day. Something i noticed is that i had been walking up stairs over the past 17 days and my natural tendency to run up any flight of stairs i encounter returned the very day i broke the fast.
You mention your delight in eating fruit and veg. For me the sensate experience of food and eating is beautifully enhanced by fasting. A fine enhancement to my life.
T2 i couldn't agree with you more. In the past (before i truly turned the corner and became health centered in my eating about 2 years ago) once i had aquired a taste for junk foods there was very little desire for vegetables or fruits and they tasted very unexciting compared to doughnuts or french fries. Fasting absolutely helped to return my body to it's natural state of having a deep appreciation for whole natural foods and having no interest in eating the other stuff.
Delighted for your Mighty Sun Tzu, T2.
Thanks a million T2 :).
