Ok update on the day 1 refeed. I did as said have a few pieces of apple and some cantelope and few grapes from that fruit salad. And had a few mini natural almonds as well.

Lunch time had a few of sons potato wedges with ketchup. I do like my ketchup and couple bites of his smokie. Stress little bites not whole smokie. And put some ketchup and hot mustard on it.

Now did get a bit of acid reflux pretty mild but took a couple of tums just in case. After all think about it ,my stomach has been pretty much turned off for 40 days. So natural to maybe do a bit too much acid when it first fires up like a furnace that maybe overshoots and bit and then has to shut down for a bit ,turn on again, etc. Thats really how furnaces work.

By supper time family wanted to go out, wife too she as said just stopped her fast couple days ago 28 days on juice.

We decided to go to a different restaurant called extreme pita not sure if they are everywhere but they are chain up here in canada.

I had looked online at their menu a few times. When on a 40 day fast you tend to look at recipes, restaurant menus online,..torture but just told myself that would go there post fast which just did.Self fufilling prophecy! LOL

Anyway being calorie conscious ordered this asian style salad, chow mein noodles, sunflower seeds,lettuce, mandarin oranges,and grilled chicken. Spicy asian dressing. Maybe something else in there but forget now.

It tasted great! Had bought tongue scraper today and cleaned my tongue that might have been reason that taste buds are back to normal. salad was of course pretty hot but you have to understand.I live on hot food normally,schezuan, hot mexican saunce,jalopeno peppers on my subway subs.etc.
So to me my stomach I think expects it .You would think it would have ripped it to pieces after 40 days but seems I crave it.

I ate about half the salad and took the other half home it was pretty big salad. Will eat that for lunch tommorrow have pretty light or at least low calorie supper tommorrow see how am for hunger. Hunger is pretty low now that salad filled me up nicely. Wife ordered a pita forget which kind but also think it was grilled chicken. Again we are meat eaters and not going to change that anytime soon. And don't think have to.
The chicken seems to have digested really well zero heartburn tonite and its been more than hour and when used to get acid reflux sometimes really bad reflux it hit almost right away. Course it likely helps being 40 plus pounds lighter.

So would think calories today were around 600 or mabye 700 total.To keep the metabolism going will be doing recumbent bike tonite.

Overall great first day and while may not be refeeding like some guys think should, listening to my stomach and doing for it what seems best.
