I wrote of my great improvement in intestinal problems after getting B12 injections in the previous message a few days ago. With Celiac Sprue I don't adsorb the B12 into the body even tho I eat eggs and cooked meat. I did not tolerate sublingual B12 pills so asked for the shots. I got the information about the injectable B12 and all the brands used in the US have high levels of aluminum wich can lead to kidney failure in some people. I had lower back pain after the first shot which is an indication that my kidneys were not functioning well (besides the risk of Alzheimers) so decided to stop. I've ordered pure Vit B12 online (DrClarksStore.com) and will try that sublingual and hope to get enough that way. I'll also supplememt with Bits B6 and folic acid as it is better to take them together.
One person suggested raw meat and liver and this puts a person at risk for acquiring parasites - especially flukes and tapeworms. Beef Tapeworms are very long and large and can drain people of energy rapidly. People with digestive and immune system problems tend to get parasites easily. Although clams do carry their own parasites, so far none have been reported in humans.
