She gave me 0.2 cc's. The nurse told me that a normal dose for a person my size is 0.5 cc's and that they would probably increase it to that slowly. The nurse specifically said that the doctor usually prescribes the B12 for people with fatigue, trouble breathing and for weight loss.
She didn't test my B12 though. She just said, "Lets try it and see what happens. We'll start real low just to be safe.". I like her.
One thing that I read that was interesting in the wilipedia article was about potassium in the blood becoming too low after B12 is increased to the right level. I wonder how this relates to the salt wasting.... I need an exorbitant amount of salt. I wonder if I will need less. I just got another shot this morning and will make sure to keep closer track of what happens.
