HONEY

Much More Than Food! - Honey For Health!

Honey is of great value for your health! When your digestion is disturbed, your stomach will not react adversely to honey, because it does not ferment in the stomach. Honey is an inverted sugar, and thus it is easily absorbed, and there is no danger of a bacterial invasion. The flavour of honey excites the appetite and helps digestion. Honey helps when indigestion is a problem, and even with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or gastritis you can get improvements through honey. In gastric catarrh, hyperacidity, gastric and duodenal ulcers and gall bladder diseases, honey is recommended by gastroenterologists. Beekeepers and their friends know that honey will cure gastric and intestinal ulcerations, which is a dangerous malady, a precursor of cancer. Hopeless cases of gastric and intestinal ulcers have been successfully treated with honey and without operations, according to Dr. Schacht (Wiesbaden, Germany). Famous Sebastian Kneipp admired honey: "Smaller ulcers in the stomach are quickly contracted, broken, and healed by it." Gastric ulcers are known to be caused by the H. pylori bacterium, - honey can stop the growth of bacterium colonies, according to researchers from a university in New Zealand.Nature’s Sweets! - Delicious!!! - And it's also Nature's medicine chest!

Whether you spread it onto your bread rolls, or whether you use it for baking or in any recipes:
You’ll love honey! Forever! It's really extraordinary.

Cold-spun honey with a high percentage of forest honey lets it remain fluid for a long time. (But crystallised honey becomes fluid again simply by careful warming-up of the honey container in a pot of hot water.) Forest honey can be very dark, spicy, heavy and intense in its taste. Blossom honey on the other hand brings in the lightness and the mild spice of an entire sea of meadow flowers.

Those who are convalescing from illness, as well as elderly people, will find that honey is an excellent reconstructive and tonic. In malnutrition, no food or drug can equal it!

Honey has also got a laxative value due to its lubricating effect. Its fatty acid content stimulates peristalsis.

Honey helps with skin rashes, burns and abrasions. Apply honey thinly, and cover with a dressing. Applied every 2 to 3 days under a dry dressing, honey promotes healing of ulcers and burns better than any other local application. It can also be applied to other surface wounds, including cuts and abrasions.

Honey moisturises your skin and leaves is tender and soft. Just smoothe a little honey over the dry skin area. Lateron remove it with cold to lukewarm to warm water.

Wash your facial skin with a small amount of honey to make it sparkling clean. Acne, other blemishes, and skin allergies will clear up quickly if you treat your face with honey over night. Honey is good in a bath and as an antibacterial soap.

Treat your scalp with honey, or with a mixture of honey and olive oil. Apply it into your dry or damp hair 30 minutes before you wash your hair.

Your hair will also benefit from the honey treatment before washing it.

Wherever you need an antiseptic, honey is the answer.

An antibiotic? Use honey.

Honey is anti-inflammatory.

For antifungal action: Honey.

Antibacterial qualities: Honey.

Honey also cleans teeth (including dentures), cleans the mouth, and it helps with bleeding gums. Mouth ulcers and similar disturbances benefit from honey.

Honey (when absolutely raw and original colour and not strained through anything) is very effective in treating most allergies and in relieving/clearing allergy symptoms. Raw honey contains pollen, molds, and dust, which have caused most allergies, and by influencing the immunobiological defense of the body, honey can help the patient. Take one teaspoon per day. Continue taking it even after the allergy is under control. Honey is anti-allergic.

Honey helps to treat respiratory problems due to the pollen and propolis contained within it. Chronic Bronchitis, Asthmatic Bronchitis, Bronchial Asthma, Chronic Rhinitis, Allergic Rhinitis, Sinusitis, - people who suffer from those illnesses will benefit from honey.

Honey has expectorant properties that insure the body has an immunobiological defense and give it the capacity to regenerate its attacked cells.

Honey (when unprocessed) has no use-by date, it keeps indefinitely. It preserves food keeping it fresh and moist for much longer.

Honey also has anti-cancer properties and may help cancer patients. Studies by Gribel and Pashinskii have shown that honey possesses moderate antitumor and pronounced anti-metastatic effects in five different strains of rat and mouse tumors. Honey potentiates the antitumor activity of chemotherapeutic drugs (such as 5-fluorouracil and cyclophosphamide). C.V. Rao at the American Health Foundation in Valhalla, New York found caffeic acids in propolis are inhibitors of colon cancers in animals. Other research shows hive products have the ability to prevent and halt the spread of malignant diseases. Research by M.T. Huang (published in Cancer Research) found caffeic acids effective in inhibiting skin cancer tumors in mice. (According to the American Bee Journal, 6/1994). A hospital study (published in Medical Oncology) has highlighted the benefits of honey for cancer patients. The active ingredients in honey are absorbed directly in the blood, where they stimulate blood-cell production, increase the quantity of platelets and raise the haemoglobin level. It has been showing exceptional results when taken by cancer patients receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy whose bloods are depleted by their treatment. The company stresses that the honey is not a cancer cure. Dr Chris (who is a doctor suffering from Leukaemia) had heard about honey and its values. The level of white blood cells drop in patients with leukaemia. Before taking the honey his level had dropped to 1.2, and afterwards they rose to 6.2. He was very impressed by the results he experienced. Nada Orsolic et al (University Zagreb) found that bee products significantly decreased tumour growth and / or spreading (metastasis) in mice when they were applied orally or by injection. On the other hand, Honey contains Sugar which is contraindicated for Cancer patients, Crohn's patients, Candida patients.
