 Thanks for your reply as always Hv, however could you elaborate on why the DE could cause kidney pain? The pain comes on about 20 mins after taking it. Today my kidney pain is worse and I am a bit worried I have damaged them in some way, and I also feel incredible sick and have thrown up a couple of times this morning.

Silica is poorly absorbed regardless of the form, so there would not be any way to get enough in to your system to even be a potential problem.  If you are prone to calcium oxalate stones this could have something to do with it. Silica increases calcium absorption, which could increase urinary calcium excretion.  The only other thing I can think of is something with aluminum or lead being excreted since silica helps to eliminate both.

I am pretty gutted as I really thought that the DE would be of great help in getting rid of my parasites but am now resigned to not being able to use it again.

Going by my experiences so far Im not convinced that herbs alone are going to get rid of my parasite problem and Dr's lab tests have not picked any up for a Dr's prescription is not an option either. The milk kefir helps a bit but only goes so far. Is there anything else other than herbs and fermented foods that you could recommend that is very effective to kill parasites off as I am really struggling physically and now mentally with this.

If you cannot do the DE then the next best choices would be neem leaf with a little yucca root to aid in penetration. Otherwise raw pumpkin seeds, papaya seeds, green papaya and horseradish are all excellent antiparasticals.  Again a little yucca root will help with penetration in to parasites and eggs.
