What I find interesting is that christians use the old testament, when the verses suit their agenda and beliefs, and dismiss it as being fulfilled by the new testament, when it doesn't suit their agenda and beliefs.

The old testament advocates giving your daughters to strangers to be raped, it advocates animal and human sacrifice, slavery, war warmongering and war crimes. The list of immoral acts the old testament advocates is endless. Do christians use these verses to tell them how to behave and live? in many cases no, they do not, but they are happy to pick out a few verses to use when it suits their desire to condemn and judge the behaviour of others.
