Re: Our Australian Elections shows Aussies want the Greens to play a big part in a sustainable environmental future.
I have seen numerous debates, parliamentary commentry and much needed discussions on issues in the election campaign.
IMO, the result of the election, shows to me that people out there are thinking and researching more now than ever about the party they want to vote for before handing in their ballot paper.
IMO, the result of a hung parliament reflects the state of the nation in the view that people want change and by the Greens and the Independants winning seats, has forced the major parties to cut to the chase, rethink their policies, focus on all issues that the Australian public has voiced through their state and territorial governments. They are basically at their mercy to show who is the better party to lead our country into the next term of three years.
Now that the Labour Government has the support of the Green Party, there are three Independants remaining. The are in the process of their final deliberations.
In my view, I think the Greens has alot to offer. It is a welcome change to have a fresh outlook. It certainly will lessen the mentality of one side against the other.
