I think you are right. When the body is 'cleansing' it is normally killing yeast and/or bacteria. This releases toxins into the body, causing die-off. These toxins can inhibit the body's immune system. When the body's immune system is inhibited Candida grows on the tongue. So what you have observed is perfectly logical. However don't think a white tongue is ONLY when the body is 'cleansing'.
