For Dial up, you get alot done. I don't know if this is in your price range, http://www.highspeedanywhere.us maybe a couple of families can get it. Also there is a program out there that vastly speeds up dial up for about 5$ amonth. I would have to look around for it again, it is hard to find.

I don't understand the not owning website thing. Unless it's sortof like driving a company car and the company belongs to a friend or someone.
