One of my first and worst worries was the Florida aquifer, I also have a well. I think it's going to get into the watertable, but it will take time. I think you will have time to arrange your water supply. I don't have an ozoneator, it sounds like I need to get one.
I know exactly how you feel. There is a small pond near my home, and I check it every time I drive by to see how the area is doing for rainfall. (Is the ground saturated, is the drought over- will it flood), but today, I looked at it and I wondered what was in it.
I know that Fairbanks AK has all of it's water trucked in, but if your's get contaminated, then the problem will be finding someplace that has water that is clean enough to use.
It is truely scary stuff.
