Hi Anne:) Re: is this normal??? quick question about charcoal poultice ..
Hi Anne,
I'm so glad to see you back on the forum, I missed you!
We all did, can you tell? :)))
Hon, I totally understand what you are going through, I have had the multiple chemical sensitivities since I was 19 years old. It is a roller coaster trying to get even a little bit better because symptoms mimic detox mimic allergens, etc etc. I remember reading one of those books about it when I was first reacting to regular things like laundry soap and shampoo- and let me tell you, I was scared to death! They advocated hypoallergenic everything, and to get air filters and face masks and only eat organic and on rotation, etc etc. It was enough to make me shut the book, freak out, and then deny the illness until I finally collapsed for several years...since then it's been the fight of my life.
I do believe our condition is more sensitive than most, and may require longer to heal. I also believe that we are sensitive in many ways- emotionally as well as physically, and that this is not a bad thing! It's just not helpful because we can feel everything that is going on, inside and outside of our bodies. The reason I went to see my previous doc in Vegas who did so much energy work with me was because he said that he could heal me, where others couldn't. He pinpointed Liver as the major problem, and said that every single cell in my body was toxic, which is why I was reactive too everything. People with this condition can even be allergic to their own and others body fluids! Can you believe it? It's insane as a concept, but when you are THAT compromised, I imagine it's possible.
Long story short, regular medical doctors are not going to fix it. I've been there and done that many many times. There is something comforting about being in a doctor's office- waiting, hoping and praying that SOMEONE will give you a clue, that SOMEHOW you will find relief to even a few of your symptoms. It never happened sadly. Even the alternative docs would keep me on an endless round of supplements or protocols. Vegas guy didn't suggest pills- just his energy work, tons of protein and red meat and tons of water to help with detox. It worked briefly, but I got sick very quickly after coming back to my regular life. He never actually 'detoxed' me, just 'harmonized' my energy with everything I was coming in contact with. I do not know if, in any other circumstance the treatments would have worked, but they didn't. So here I am, along with you, trying to find answers:)
I just wanted to say that although it may seem impossible, keep believing in better days and do whatever you can to clean out your liver and gut. Have you done liver flushing, and if so, has it helped some? I've done a whole lot for my liver but not enough for my gut, which is a major issue that I will be working on more diligently now.
I wish you the best, and keep us posted!
Teresa.
