Re: Metabolic typing for cleansing colon, distended belly, constipation?

Hey! We're in a very similar situation. I've always thought it was normal to have such a big stomach. I also have been loading up on a lot of great protein sources in the past two months while trying to cleanse my body. This is all while following an anti candida diet, but with occasional whole grain rice.

The two major effects were bloating/constipation.. BUT a little weight gain (Sometimes more energy), which really has been impossible for me for years.

I also have been getting plenty of fiber.. but it didn't do anything for me, just like any laxatives I've tried!

My problem lies within my intestines not being able to absorb any nutrients and some other things which I hope to find out soon.. but what I think contributes to this is the fact that I've always been going for high fiber ever since wanting to improve my health. This was most evident to me when I took out beans from my diet. They had a ton of fiber. I also consumed a lot of hemp protein powder. Once again, a TON of fiber. During those times, I felt like I was going to pop. When I stopped taking both of those, I felt much better, and now have more moderate bloating when eating the rest of my diet.

Some people definitely overlook some things when it comes to health. Maybe a lot of things.

I am now thinking of mainly eating soups and juicing for a while. Let me know how it is going for you.

I don't think fiber is bad for you, but I know there are people who consume a lot of it (like I have), and I do think it has great potential to be more harmful than helpful in large amounts.
