Re: After using for a few weeks all my skin is dry and no sweat?
Yea.. but i really am drinking plenty of water.. I mean, anytime im at home im sipping on a glass.. im pretty conscious about the need for plenty of good quality water.
This all happened suddenly too. I was fine, then bam, my mouth got really dry within a couple days.. and now I cant workout properly. also had muscle twitching etc.
Theres something going on that i dont understand. Im drinking enough water, but my body isnt using it or something. its like it disappears into thin air.. although.. my urine isnt always dark yellow.. sometimes it looks totally normal.. like a yellow.. I even occasionally get a clear lookin pee if ive been drinking a lot of water.
I did some blood tests with my doc.. most things came back normal.. but I had slightly elevated Gamma Globulin levels, which indicates some kind of inflammation/immune reaction + slightly low blood platelet count and my vitamin D level was pretty low at 27 (30-100). Also my Albumin level was .1 higher then the top of the reference range, apparently high albumin indicates dehydration. My MCH was also slighlty high at 31.5 (27-31) and my POLYS # (differential) was a little low at 2.0 (2.2-10.6) (dunno what that one is).. also it seems my white blood cell count was a bit low although my doc didnt mention it, it was 4.2 (4.0-11.0).. my B12 level was 490 (211-911) .. my SHBG was 93 (11-88) so that was a bit high too..
oh and my calcium was 10.2 ( 8.6-10.2 )
and my electrolyte panel;
NA 140 (136-145) <- sodium
K 4.2 (3.5-5.1) <- must be potassium
CL 101 (98-107) <- guess this ones chloride
So it would appear those 3 are within normal ranges.. Any idea what other tests I should do? I suppose I should find out what my 24/hr urinary cortisol + aldosterone + vasopressin etc levels are. I just dont wanna go for more blood tests!! I think the naturopaht will do a lot of tests.. stool tests, hair, urine, maybe blood too.. test all my hormones, gut function,
parasites etc.
The western doc seemed to think I should go see a gastroenterologist given the signs of inflammation + low plaetlets + my complains of weak digestion. But I am just starting to work with a naturopath and wanted to see what he can do for me before I go to another western doctor and have a bunch of tests and be told ot take drugs of some kind.
anyway.. I will keep you updated and let you know if it gets any better.
