Re: myelin sheathe damage, vit D3, etc...
Hi Chiron,
no one can be absolutely certain that his head "injury" does not play a part in this, but I do not think that his episode of sunstroke will have had any lasting effect either with the assimilation of Vitamin D.
Only a blood test can do that, and where most people are deficient anyway.
Overwork is the root of much enervation and resultant toxemia, so this needs correcting and his lifestyle changing. Look what happened to Shelton.
B12 is best taken in the sub-lingual form so shop around.
D3 is best analyzed beforehand with a 25 OHD test: a requirement for serum 25(OH)D that is above 80 nmol/L (and perhaps as much as 100-125 nmol/L .or.32 ng/mL 40–60 ng/mL
is ideal.
The dose depends on the original blood test.
Salmon and sardines are very good sources the essential fatty acids Omega 3's (EPA and DHA), plus Vitamin D, but not enough Vitamin D to correct deficiency.
Toxicity of D3 with supplements is rare and mostly unheard of: you would have to consume at least 40,000ius per day for months on end to do this.
