Does it take less time for already-lean people to reach stage five of a fast?

Hi everyone,

I have just found and joined this group as I am planning to commence a seven-day Water Fast next week. I am the type of person to jump in at the deep end and try a 30-day fast without any experience, but I feel that would be foolhardy. However, my initial reading into the subject begs a question I would be very grateful for someone to answer, which is: would it take less time for someone who is already lean to reach stage five of a fast?

It seems 30 days is the standard figure given to reach the final stage of a water fast, but surely if someone simply does enough fat on their body to sustain them for that time, surely the fast would reach completion a lot sooner. Wouldn't it follow, therefore, that being lean at the very start of a fast might be desirable as it would reduce the time needed for the fast to fully detocxify the body?

Hope one can ask questions like this - I tend to be a lurker more than a participant in forums.

Thanks

Koldo
