Re: 13 Hours Till DAY FOUR

Hello Powerray,

You asked how I turned a 3 day fast into a 30+ day fast.

You know, I never even expected I'd be doing a WF. It never even entered my brain, and I'd never heard much about it. Every Spring & Fall I do a detox of some sort, sometimes short (a week) sometimes long (month). Usually w/ hebs and eating light, or a juice fast or MC.

This time, I was all set to do a juice fast and I even started it for a few days when I *accidentally* stumbled upon some WF articles and this forum. I thought, why not lets just try it for a few days. I did not believe that there would be zero hunger, because I was alway hungry on the other fasts (they were my only frame of reference). So after 3 days of feeling like crap on the WF, i thought this is not for me, I'm going back to juicing.

Come Day 4, I felt better and was less crabby and not hungry so I hung in there. I made a goal of 10 days and from there 15, then 21 and before i knew it, here I am on Day 32.

Believe you me, I never planned this and I'm in disbelief myself. I've had alot to learn along the way and I found there's much garbage information out there on WF, but this forum has been an invaluable tool to help me stay the course. Another thing that has helped is seeing little things in my body heal, so i'm still hanging in there.

Chiron mentioned that changes happen in cycles of 7-day increments. My experience says he's right-on. So everytime you feel like quitting, hang in there till its been 7 days just to see what your body is capable of doing. Its so interesting! And be happy that you're not working much for now because alot of days you'll just want to rest (I did anyway).

So I have 8 days left and my nausea is better but I am SICK of water and feeling weak. You know, even walking in the grocery store for 15 minutes I gotta sit and rest as I feel winded, like my heart wants to rest.

So that's my story.
