"It's funny but body must be trained to use less glycose and eventually when most of the carbs are cut off, body will make ketones from the fat which will be the main energy source for the body."
Hi, isn't this largely what Atkins' was all about? My mother did very well on it--felt good with all the fatty meat, and lost lots of weight, but the system just crashes -or so it seemed- after awhile. I see it is a very acid-forming diet; and it left her with a calcium deficit. (not to mention probably a general mineral deficiency. And the urea, it's complicated... Now, a few years later, she has apparently "no catilage" left in her hip sockets. The doctors say it's the worst they've seen. which sounds hyperbolic... but anyway, she's to get hip replacement soon.
:-( concerned; not meaning to judge your path as 'wrong'.
