No doubt I've spent far too much time on this. And I certainly don't profess to know the truth of the matter, but I like to learn:)

I think that the answer is hinted at in my "extremely important" post above. In fact, I remember you suggesting, long ago, that subcutaneous infection could be a factor.

We call it "brominacne" because we are indeed detoxing bromide. Whether or not bromide is an actual constituent of the pus is unknown.

No doubt we sweat out bromides, given the numerous accounts of B.O. on this forum. Sweat glands are not sebaceous glands though...

Iodine, topically and internally is GOOD for the skin, it is an important constituent of skin health.

For the vain, just know that the skin issues are temporary:)
