Re: Flechas comment about iodine & supplementing thyroid meds
" I just figured that I would do
Iodine alone for awhile first and if that didn't totally resolve the problems then I would add some thyroid meds-I have been on them in the past."
What is for sure is that the medical profession really struggle with thyroid related illnesses.
A woman I know have been on synthyroids for years. Her tests are "fine" and she has a great holistic doctor (he was actually one of my teachers back at homeopathy school)
- The woman has been very ill lately, and she looks 5-10 years older than only a year ago. Upon closer examination they found that her thyroid have shrunk, like a raisin.
No way it can work at all.
She herself says that she feels more hypo T than ever and wants more medication, but the dr.s say no as the tests are "normal".
Her story is not exceptional ; I know a few other women with similar problems, up and down with medication, not much relief of their symptoms, even in the hands of proper doctors and their proper tests.
I really applaud you that manage to stand up for yourself, try
Iodine before the thyroid med, let us know how you get along;
I have no experience with Hashimoto`s; what is your plan besides iodine, protocol, companions etc ?
