Oh... homemade. Maybe that's the thing: short of analyzing it in a lab, no one can know for sure WHAT exactly you're culturing - what yeast, whether there's some lactobacteria and what kind in it as well, and so on. Hell, you might actually be culturing pure probiotics, sans kefir yeast at all.

Cause industrial crap certainly doesn't do anything clearly positive whatsoever. I live in a country with like 20 major brands of it in the tiniest of convenience stores, too... Tweet
