Re: Candida: Got sick and tired of it, decided to nuke it all-out with meds for a month (ketaconazole tabs + nystatin tabs + natamycin tabs + terbinafine tabs) and weather the sidefx. Curious about what I'm feeling though.
Kefir??? But it's a fungus, a yeast! What's the fun of nuking your system with antifungals that turn you into a zombie for a month, and then wasting some if not all the effect on a yeast you're actually purposefully ingesting daily???????
As to dear old mum, she had the neurotic obsessive-compulsive firm believer fanatical version of MSbP. I've seen her lie about other stuff, and know for a fact that she sucks at lying and manipulating unless she believes in the cause it advances. My personal experience was more of being paraded around a million different docs by the paranoid old bat until some idiot would finally "find" some major condition and treat the hell out of it. Once almost ended up in a full-body cast for a year when I was 5 (doc said my bones "wouldn't grow right" otherwise - funny, that, how I ended up 189
cm tall anyway), and the lunatic woman was only stopped by grandpa, who told pops he'd kick HIS ass unless pops manned up and bullied some sense into his daft wife.
As to the
Antibiotics for supposedly tuberculosis, those would've gone on for another year, if not for grandpa again. My 10yo brains finally kicked in and I figured out there was something very strange about staying the summer with my grandparents, but being expressly instructed to NEVER, EVER talk about my medication with grandpa, who just happened to be a semi-retired PHARMACEUTICAL EXECUTIVE with a PhD in pharma chemistry. So, I did ask gramps, he predictably called BS, and we flushed the rest of the stuff. Funny how that TB never materialized despite =)
Well, actually, about causing stuff... I guess she kind of did, although it was more misguided idiocy than anything else. When I was a toddler, I kept getting colds and flus and such, so dear mum decided to boost my immune system with fresh air, 4 hours per day, every day. Including -25 C winters, when she would have to plaster my face and neck with goose fat just to keep me from getting weather exposure. SOMEHOW, I don't believe that made my immune system any better...
As to getting her help for MSpB - nope, only person to identify it was grandpa, and he just called it hypochondriac transference and general neurosis. Docs, especially American ones, can't do jack about the woman... She consistently bullies them into prescribing her and her family anything and everything. Her GP is terrified of her!
