I agree with you questioning the toxin theory. My sd started at puberty also. I just don't believe that sd and puberty are not connected at least in a lot of cases. Also it runs in my mother's side of the family. She got it and my grandfather had it too. Her brother nor her mother had it yet they are both in the same environment eating the same foods.

Maybe there is a genetic flaw that somethimes gets passed on.
