If you read the literature regarding all these products, it tells you that you cannot take them all together, in fact tells you NOT to. Why? Because #1 they will overload your body when taken in too high quantities or in conjunction with each other. Secondly, some of the supplements mentioned in the above article actually counteract each other, preventing any of them from working properly. For instance, antifungal remedies can often render probiotics useless. It was specifically mentioned not to take antifungal supplements with Threelac or it would kill the beneficial bacteria within it. It is even suggested that overloading with an array of different counteractive methods actually inhibits the bodies normal defenses and immunity against these specific conditions. I would guess this decrease in normal function, overloading with supplements, and counteractions between supplements are what caused the above mentioned situation to occur.
Supplements should not be taken without study and knowledge into the actual function of the product on the body, and supplement (and drug!) interactions must be carefully avoided - or a person could not get well, or even get worse. It is way too common in this country that, because something is "herbal" or "over the counter," people think it is safe and easy and won't interact with anything else. This is entirely untrue. Always educate yourself (completely, and away from advertising sites,) or consult with someone who is educated on the matter. Tweet
