Re: When you figure out that it is not working...
>>"So what alkaline forces are acting against the citric, malic and pyruvic acids during the formation of ATP in cells?"<<
The
citric acid cycle, in part is regulated by the ratio between NAD+ and NADH along with calcium...
You will find other alkaline substances involved like iron as well...
Malate is an intermediate in the
citric acid cycle and is also affected by these factors...
Pyruvic acid is also involved and affected by these factors. Usually potassium is a factor here as well...
And of course oxygen must be present or the pyruvic acid will not enter the mitochondrion in the first place where it is oxidized by several enzyme reactions.
It is all more complicated than that, and there are other factors, of course, such as sugars and fats, carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen... as part of the complexes.
The bottom line here is that catalysts are needed... to build and then break down the substances in the first place... and to cause the right reactions to occur.
For things to act and interact there MUST be differences in electrical charges and substance.
These acids are catalyzed by multienzyme complexes - and there are acid and alkaline based enzymes involved in the process...
>>"My problems with Moreless are:
1. He makes up his own
Science and facts as he goes along."<<
Perhaps, however, giving him the benefit of the doubt (which is hard for me to state after the recent foray in the
Webmaster forum) I read between the lines and try to make sense of it as it has been very helpful to me. I usually can find out what it all means by digging...
And, he did bring the issue of NPNs to fore... however, I know you have a problem with NPNs... I proved the NPN issue to myself a few years ago, and it is a problem in our food supply, among other things.
He also took a great deal of crap years ago from people who apposed him on the use of seaweeds to improve health due to the
Iodine content, among other things, by those who take
Iodine in supplement form now.
I have seen that you also recommend them to some.
He also went through a period where people were condemning and writing against the use of Black Strap Molasses too... so in many cases, I have seen that ML has been provoked by others as well.
It is a two way street...
>>"2. He attributes all diseases and disorders to acidity of the lymphatic system. This is ridiculous on the basis of the lymphatic system does not go acidic to begin with. Then to ignore all the various causes of diseases and disorders is just totally ludicrous."<<
I find things like this interesting...
http://www.acid-imbalance.com/wickenburg.html
There is tons more...
Now are "ALL" diseases due to this? no... there are associated problems with being too alkaline as well...
Just as the blood must be maintained within a certain pH range, so must the lymphatic (the exchange between the two - not directly - would become more difficult if it was not), though there is most likely more wiggle room... this will come out in due time.
>>"3. He does not take in to account the problems his recommendations can cause, espcially for some conditions like hyperparathyroidism or hemochromotosis."<<
Not usually and that is most disturbing... he does offer the occasional caution and encourages strongly common sense and responsibility.
But then it has taken a while for anyone who becomes high on their protocol to do this... herbs and spices are no different and caution should be used and advised with the use of anything where applicable, I agree.
>>"4. When people say his protocol does not work, or they were injured from the protocol Moreless goes on the attack."<<
I have no argument here... I will not defend this. I will say though, when people state it does not work without trying it, or experiencing it, or only trying it for a day or two... without a clear explanation of effects, I can understand the defense.
There were also cases where people tried to tweak it on their own, omitting things, and then blew it off...
However, as I have stated over and over, this is not for everyone, and someone who's metabolic process handles the maintenance of pH balance well for what ever reason, likely does not need nor desire the use of it.
>>"5. He demands evidence from others, but refuses to provide evidence himself."<<
That is frustrating... the evidence is his words only... I suspect he most likely learned this by word of mouth from others, however likely never researched it for himself fully... and his knowledge is anecdotal. Myself, and certain key others, like Invincible from the past who have found benefit with this have seemed to have done the bulk of any "proofs"... working off of what he cryptically states.
>>"6. He loves to lie about others. Even when the lie is exposed he and many of his followers will continue with the lies."<<
I am not sure about the "lying"... I do not read many posts on CZ anymore... I have to take your, and other's words on that one. Taking things out of context though... or manipulating them... No defense.
>>"7. He refuses to admit when he is wrong, even when the evidence is overhelming against him. Instead he tweaks his wording to help cover up his mistake. That is as bad as his lying habit."<<
Yes, I do believe he has a problem admitting errors... however, I am glad that he did not concede when he was first thought to be in error about NPNs... although through that experience, as with others, he could have also used better presentation methods... Uncomplexed
nitrates and
nitrites (acids) are coming to the fore as a huge issue these days and they contribute to things like diabetes, Alzheimers, organ failures, and other ails.
>>"Should I go on?"<<
You could, if it would benefit yourself and others to get it off your chest, however, from my answers to these things, you can see, that I believe there is a lot of room for improvement and growth in ML...
And I will concede, I have no defense for his behavior, whether he feels he is right or wrong on any particular subject, there is a vast amount of improvement needed in his manners and respect for others, whether he sees them as being wrong or not.
What I do admire is that he did not give ground on issues such as NPN and iodine, the use of seaweeds, etc. or that knowledge, which I consider vital, would have been lost to me.
This is for both yourself and ML...
There is no reason why we cannot ALL discuss/debate things in a civil manner, no matter how strong one's time/financial investment, emotions, or ego is connected to their beliefs.
