Re: what might be causing it...

When I first started Iodine supps, I started out slow and cautious. I was having bad 'retox' symptoms (I like that word trapper, good description), on 50mg. I doubled my dose to 100mg (as well as increasing companion supps), for the next 3-4 months. The retox symptoms became detox symptoms within a couple of days, and lasted for about 2 weeks. After that, the detox settled down, and the Iodine really got to work on the issues that I originally started taking it for. FBD, hypothyroid, uterine fibroids, and other less obvious symptoms. It has now been 8 months since starting, and all my health issues have now been resolved, so I am on a maintenance dose of about 25mg daily.

I had 2 pretty dreadfull weeks of detox, but that, for me , was preferable to months of niggling symptoms.

My partner, who was sceptical at the time I started Iodine supps, now, after seeing the difference that it has made to my health, he is taking daily iodine supps as well. One big bonus I've noticed with him is that he no longer snores at night, (happy , happy , joy , joy).
